Australian Survivor will enter it’s 10th season on the network in 2025, and to celebrate Network 10 and production company Endemol Shine Australia have an exciting new theme planned.
This post has been updated.
TV Blackbox understands that the next theme for Australian Survivor in 2025 will be… Australia v USA.
Also revealed today is that there might be two seasons of Australian Survivor dropping next year, a regular season with all new cast (casting is still open, closes this Sunday) and then the above-mentioned international themed season.
The local version of the long-running US format is highly regarded with fans all around the world, ranking right up there close to the original so it makes sense that the Aussie version would want to leverage that for our next season.
No word on any casting for the AUS v USA series just yet, but one would imagine that iconic past players from the local and USA version will be brought back alongside new players and pitted against each other in this new twist on the format.
Since coming back to our screens in 2016, themes over the last 10 years of the 10 version include: Champions V Contenders, All Stars, Brains V Brawn, Blood V Water, Heroes V Villains, and most recently Titans V Rebels.
One of the rumoured seasons of Australian Survivor is expected to again air in late January 2025, after the Australian Open Tennis finishes like which runs from Sunday 12 – 26th January, similarly to this year.
Australian host Jonathan LaPaglia is set to feature as one of three new hosts in the new Australian original series Top Gear Australia, which premieres this Friday 17th May exclusively on Paramount+.

Ahmed Gaballah next season USA vs Australia 🔥🔥
I’m kind of living for this theme. Still hoping for a season of various players from many of the international seasons soon. (I.e. Australia V USA V NZ V S.A V UK V Sweden e.t.c) But this is going to be epic.

They will water it down if they add newbies to the AU vs USA season. I mean, there will already be an all newbie season next year too, so…
