RUSH and MILLION DOLLAR ISLAND AUSTRALIA are both cooked – there is no saving them, making the respective Network’s News product more important than ever.

Channel 9

Nine struggled to bring home a win without The Ashes, so it’s best for the night was A Current Affair (732,000). Rush (297,000) continued to meander with no luck in finding a reasonable audience, however managed to lift ever so slightly on last week. Then the night split for 100% Footy (54,000 BNE/SYD) and Footy Classified (101,000 MEL/ADL/PER). It returned again with Wimbledon 2023: Day 8 (118,000)

Nine first in primary (17.1%) and second in network (25.3%) rankings.

Channel 7

Home & Away (461,000) opens Seven’s account as their best also, with Million Dollar Island Australia (256,000) find no greater love as it slips again week-on-week, falling to the smallest audience yet. A double ep of 9-1-1: Lone Star (175,000; 118,000) and a new ep of The Blacklist (,000) fill up the wee hours.

Seven second in primary (16.6%) and first in network (25.9%) rankings.

Channel 10

The Project (181,000 6:30pm; 301,000 7pm) does its best for 10 at the top of the week, as MasterChef Australia (568,000) also takes the primetime win, with Have You Been Paying Attention? (613,000) the number one entertainment program for the night. Just For Laughs Australia (189,000) and a repeat of FBI: Most Wanted (83,000) close out the night with a smaller audience.

10 third in both primary (15%) and network (22%) rankings.

ABC

7:30 (544,000) and Back Roads (461,000) dive into second place, with Four Corners (393,000) and Media Watch (392,000) ticking up slightly on last week for a solid night for the ABC. A continued repeat of Jonestown: Terror in the Jungle (180,000) and then a new ep of China Tonight (77,000) wrap up the evening.

ABC fourth in both primary (14.1%) and network (18.2%) rankings.
