Seven’s public affairs program airs an interview with the man at the centre of allegations in the Higgins rape case.

Channel 7

Seven’s explosive interview on 7News Spotlight (600,000) drew the largest proportion of the audience in the primetime slot, which offered Secrets of Prince Andrew (398,000) a great start which it carried mostly through the episode. Born to Kill? (169,000) caps off a big night.

Seven first in both primary (24%) and network (32.1%) rankings.

Channel 9

The finale of The Summit (475,000 avg (462,000 finale; 487 winner announced)) caps off an underwhelming season on Nine – a real shame as 60 Minutes (426,000) trumpeted Nine’s big defamation win over Ben Roberts-Smith and had a much lesser lead-in than it should have. A repeat of Australian Crime Stories (117,000) and new The First 48 (70,000) run true crime into the late night.

Nine second in both primary (20.4%) and network (28.2%) rankings.

Channel 10

Another solid run from The Sunday Project (191,000 6:30pm; 307,000 7pm) which is finding itself in rare air – rating well – as the lead-in to the reliable MasterChef Australia (483,000) for 10, which landed second in primetime. New and repeat eps of NCIS: Hawaii (162,000; 104,000) fill out the rest of the schedule.

10 third in both primary (11.8%) and network (17.5%) rankings.

ABC

Tim Ross’s Designing A Legacy (295,000) leads the ABC’s night, before new Silent Witness (251,000) picks up the slot that The Messenger (106,000) used to inhabit (but got bumped because people aren’t watching it). Repeats of In Limbo (38,000) and Interview with the Vampire (DNR) round out the evening. New Bluey (529,000) episodes continue to smash all comers.

ABC fourth in both primary (9.8%) and network (14.1%) rankings.

SBS

History leaps onto SBS’s screens, starting with Shackleton’s Endurance: The Lost Ice Ship (104,000), then running into Pompeii: The Secrets of Civita Giuliana (107,000) and Patagonia (54,000).

SBS fifth in both primary (4.5%) and network (8%) rankings.
