ABC TV is set to premiere two of television’s hottest supernatural drama series, Mayfair Witches and Interview with the Vampire.
The two series, produced by AMC Studios and based on the famous Anne Rice novels, promise to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
Mayfair Witches, an 8-part series, will star Alexandra Daddario (White Lotus) as Rowan Fielding, an intuitive young neurosurgeon who discovers she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. She must come to terms with her newfound powers and contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.
The series also features Harry Hamlin (LA Law), Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire), and Tongayi Chirisa (Crusoe).
Meanwhile, Interview with the Vampire is a 7-part sensuous, contemporary reinvention of Rice’s revolutionary gothic novel.
It stars Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones) as Louis de Pointe du Lac, Sam Reid (The Newsreader) as Lestat de Lioncourt, and Bailey Bass (Avatar) as Claudia.
The epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality is told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian).
The series follows Louis, a Black man chafing at the limitations of life in 1900s New Orleans, as he is offered the ultimate escape by Lestat de Lioncourt: joining him as his vampire companion. However, Louis soon realizes that his intoxicating new powers come with a price. The introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.
