The contestants of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here were in for a wild ride as a new game and trial was introduced on the show.
In Monday night’s episode, the contestants played a game called Sticko on Dicko where they had to stick their face on Dicko, the former Australian Idol judge, without him noticing. Deb went a little too hard and nearly blew their cover.
Meanwhile, Chris and Julia selected Liz Ellis to participate in a terrifying trial called Cliffhanger. Ellis had to climb two twelve-metre towers, suspended over a two-kilometre drop. However, she wasn’t alone as former rugby player Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins joined her in disguise as a soundo to retrieve every flag along the way.
The episode also featured an emotional interview with Dicko, who spoke about the backlash he faced for his comments about Paulini’s gold dress. He revealed that he received a letter from a surgeon about his daughter who was in the hospital with an eating disorder. The surgeon explained that Dicko’s comments sent her spiraling and nearly killed her.
In another heartwarming moment, Adam Cooney shared his experience of becoming a dad to a toddler with cerebral palsy and an intellectual disability. He worked tirelessly with his daughter to help her walk and eventually saw the fruits of his labor.
After successfully completing the Sticko on Dicko challenge, the contestants enjoyed a zebra loin dinner before dessert queen Anna arrived in camp with ingredients to bake cookies on the campfire.
During the post-feed Q&A session, Bianca Hunt spoke about the lack of First Nations representation in the media, while Harry described his experience of being a boxer with a feminine side, and his relationship with his father.
Tuesday night, the Honey Badger will face off against a Honey Badger in a trial called Honey Badger V Honey Badger.
