The reality battle is finding it’s groove, and nothing seems to be changing except that VERA and DEATH IN PARADISE are elbowing their way in.
Channel 9
Married At First Sight (993,000) remains unbeatable and sets a strong start to Nine’s week. 60 Minutes (464,000) also does well and wins its slot commercially, followed by a repeat of Australian Crime Stories (160,000) and then The First 48 (80,000).
Nine first in both primary (27%) and network (33%) rankings.
Channel 7
Australian Idol (453,000) delivers its second “live” performance for Seven with which it still can’t crack 4th place in the slot, followed by the return of 7News Spotlight (237,000). A repeat of Manhunt (64,000) and a new ep of Born to Kill? (44,000) finishes the night.
Seven second in both primary (16.7%) and network (21.7%) rankings.
ABC
Death in Paradise (569,000) and Vera (608,000) deliver massive numbers for the ABC – beating Seven and 10 in primetime, and everything at 8:30pm. Butterfly (125,000) and a repeat of Queerstralia (35,000) complete Aunty’s evening with less success.
ABC third in both primary (17.4%) and network (20.8%) rankings.
Channel 10
The Sunday Project (175,000 6:30pm; 285,000 7pm) really needs something to lift it for 10, however the second half hour is up against the biggest show on TV at the moment. Australian Survivor (534,000) continues to deliver solid numbers from a good season, with NCIS: Hawaii (181,000) and a repeat of FBI (102,000) keeping fans of the US franchises happy.
10 fourth in both primary (11.7%) and network (16.9%) rankings.
SBS
Ancient Egypt by Train (133,000) starts SBS’s night, before delivering a super-sized repeat ep of Chernobyl: The New Evidence (163,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (4.2%) and network (7.5%) rankings.
