ESPN brings fans one of the biggest ever UFC Fight Night events, involving two Australian UFC championship contenders Tai Tuivasa and Robert Whittaker, with UFC Fight Night: Gane vs Tuivasa live from Paris, France.

UFC Fight Night: Gane vs Tuivasa is live on ESPN from 5am AEST Sunday, ensuring a bumper Father’s Day Fight Night for fans across Australia and New Zealand.

Australia’s Tai Tuivasa will tackle #1 ranked heavyweight contender Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC Fight Night Paris.

#3 ranked Tuivasa hopes to continue his march towards the UFC heavyweight championship, having racked up five straight wins inside the Octagon.

The Aussie heavyweight stunned the MMA world, following a KO victory over Derrick Lewis at UFC 271 in February – which has him now on the verge of a UFC title showdown.

But, Tuivasa faces a tough test in Gane, who will be fighting on home soil.

Gane is considered one of the most well rounded heavyweights in the division and has his own dream of capturing the UFC Heavyweight championship, currently being held by Francis Ngannou.

The UFC Fight Night: Gane vs Tuivasa Co-Main Event will see Australia’s #1 ranked Middleweight contender Robert Whittaker tackle #2 Marvin Vettori.

Whittaker fights for the first time since a hotly disputed points decision defeat to UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in February.

The Australian heads to Paris, knowing he must avoid back to back defeats as he angles for a future showdown with the Middleweight champion.

Vettori is also seeking redemption, having fallen victim to Adesanya on two occasions as well inside the Octagon.

Championship success has proven elusive for the Italian and he knows the road back to title contention goes through Whittaker.

It will be 11 months since Vettori has been inside the Octagon, having impressively defeated Paulo Costa last time out in October 2021.

Whittaker and Vettori were set to fight in Singapore earlier this year, but injury saw the fight rescheduled for the UFC Fight Night: Gane vs Tuivasa event.

That news was music to the ears of fight fans across Australia and New Zealand, as it now provides one of the biggest Fight Night events ever seen.

Two Australian UFC stars will feature on the same card, in fights that will determine the future of the UFC’s most exciting divisions.
