We knew it was bad, but we didn’t know it was this bad.

Two months ago, in a joint 60 MINUTES, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age investigation, Adele Ferguson reported on the shocking state of the cosmetic surgery industry in Australia. She revealed startling evidence of doctors putting profits before patients by performing dangerous surgeries that, far from making people look beautiful, scarred them for life.

The response to the report was unprecedented, highlighting the fact that this medical horror was actually much worse than first imagined. On a special episode of 60 MINUTES, Adele Ferguson continues her investigation with even more frightening proof of a billion-dollar industry that is out of control, and a regulatory system that is either unwilling or powerless to stop it.
