The great primetime reset is looming, as is the Comm Games…what happens next?
A Current Affair (688,000) is down on last week for Nine, though still the biggest thing on TV after the 6pm News. Australian Ninja Warrior (409,000) drops to its lowest this season and still manages third in primetime behind the ABC and 10. A big focus on 2022 Wimbledon Day 8 (392,000 night; 372,000 late) means a reasonable amount of eyes through the evening into the early morning. Given the focus on tennis the Monday night sports talkfest programs were bumped to 9Gem, dropping their viewership somewhat: 100% Footy (31,000 9Gem) and Footy Classified (55,000 9Gem).
Nine first in both primary (22.2%) and network (31.3%) rankings.
Home & Away (467,000) continues to meander for Seven in the 7pm slot. It needs to improve. Big Brother Australia (348,000) lifts to its best in over a week, and even a double ep of 9-1-1: Lone Star (193,000; 142,000) sees a slight audience bump up.
The Blacklist (39,000)
Seven second in both primary (15.9%) and network (23.4%) rankings.
10 continue to see The Project (266,000 6:30pm; 399,000 7pm) fluctuate–this time down–all with little impact. MasterChef Australia (624,000) is the big winner, closely followed by Have You Been Paying Attention? (598,000)…they are now solidified as an unbeatable pairing. Celia Pacquola: Let Me Know How It All Works Out (204,000) delivers some laughs and a reasonable audience to the later night.
10 third in both primary (15.4%) and network (21.1%) rankings.
7:30 (593,000) offers a good start to the ABC with Sarah Ferguson’s first run as permanent host. The rest of the current affairs-focused evening all lifts on last week, with Australian Story (513,000), Four Corners (535,000), and Media Watch (463,000) drawing a good crowd into the evening. India Now (183,000) slides a little on last week, and a repeat of ABC 90 Celebrate (34,000) fills out the schedule.
ABC fourth in both primary (13.2%) and network (16.7%) rankings.
Marilyn: Her Final Secret (167,000) opens the night for SBS, then it’s the first of four big episodes of True Colours (111,000). A repeat of 24 Hours in Emergency (93,000) fills out the night.
SBS fifth in both primary (4.2%) and network (7.5%) rankings.
