When Channel 10 released its extended network promo for 2022 on Monday evening, eagle-eyed observers were quick to ask the question, where is Lisa Wilkinson?

The new promo, which runs for over 2-minutes is designed to highlight everything Channel 10 is excited about for 2022. All of the networks new and returning shows are featured with even the beleaguered Bachelor franchise managing to secure a few microseconds of screen time.

Despite its “soft” ratings in 2021, The Project is featured heavily in the 2021 network trailer with regular hosts, Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly and Pete Hellier all appearing. But we can only assume someone forgot to include the networks highest-paid presenter, Lisa Wilkinson.

2021 should have been a stellar year for Wilkinson. Her standout interview with former political staffer Brittney Higgins set the political agenda for much of the year and has earned her a Walkley nomination.

However, a series of negative headlines and publicity following the release of her book “It Wasn’t Meant To Be Like This” has added to the public perception the highly-paid presenter is motivated by greed.

When Wilkinson joined Channel 10 back in 2017, she was sold as Australia’s next Oprah. In addition to her role on The Project, she was signed up as an ‘Editor at Large’ for the now-defunct 10Daily website, and there was even talk of her getting her own chat show.

Wilkinson is currently on leave from her hosting duties at The Project, but is expected to be in the hosting chair for much of the summer while the rest of the team takes a break.

Don’t be surprised if some hasty re-edits are made today and Lisa Wilkinson miraculously reappears in the promo in the very near future….

  1. I cant believe people actually watch the project, let alone channel 10 paying the cast astronomical amounts of money to be on it

  2. The Project is becoming as left wing as The ABC.
If this is the intent, Lisa Wilkinson ticks all the boxes. At least we don’t fund Channel 10, so I guess they can do what they like. I won’t be tuning
    in.

  3. It would have been hard for them to put her in. You can imagine the comments – 1x Lisa Wilkinson equals the sum total of Tim Bailey + Kerri-Anne Kennerley + Natarsha Belling + Georgina Lewis + Mike Larkin. Not good publicity when you’re selling a book complaining about pay.

There are a lot of faces missing, not just Lisa.
