IN TONIGHT’S EPISODE: MARY-ANN ACCUSSED TORI OF LYING ABOUT HER CHILDHOOD WHILE LAURELLE WALKED OUT ON NATHAN AND CODIE LEA
Tori and Mary-Ann’s therapy disaster
Tori refused to meet her mother, Mary-Ann, alone opting instead for a therapy session during which she opened up to Mary-Ann about the lack of motherly love she felt she had growing up.
Tori: “Look, it’s always been and it always will be the lack of love that I was ever given. You don’t show love. You don’t show affection. You’ll push me away. You’ll push anyone else away to keep face or be horrible and nasty when you could just have pure love. I would go to school or go to my friend’s house and I used to look at them and their mothers and go ‘why can’t my mum be like them?’ I used to cry all the time. But all I did was crave love. Crave having a mother. I never could understand how you could be so cruel.”
Not believing a word Tori was saying, Mary-Ann walked out of therapy leaving the relationship with mother and daughter in pieces.
Mary-Ann: “You’re tripping. Really. I don’t get it. (To Leanne) I’m not getting this and I’m not going to sit here and be character assassinated. Nor am I going to listen to the lies because they are lies.”
Milly and Micah drop bombshell on Catherine
Milly and Micah met Catherine for lunch and revealed they were moving to the United States with their son Julian. Catherine was devastated and doesn’t believe Micah can support Milly.
Milly: “Our plans are, after this…Micah and I and Julian are going to live in the States.”
Catherine: “My worry is, I’m going to lose you to America, as well and lose my grandson. And you’re all I’ve got.”
Catherine argued Micah hadn’t changed from his pot-smoking loser ways. Micah countered saying Catherine needed to let go and let them live their lives.
Micah: “It’s apparent to me how close Milly is to her mum and while I understand that, we have our own child together, Catherine needs to let go at some point.”
Laurelle’s sorry, not sorry…
Codie Lea and Nathan met with Laurelle to discuss the results of their own lie detector tests to find who was telling the truth.
Codie Lea wasn’t surprised to hear she was telling the truth on all the questions, especially the question about cheating on Nathan. Laurelle apologised for suspecting her of cheating on Nathan.
Laurelle: “So, I have something to say to you. I’m sorry for disbelieving you. I’m sorry for accusing you of cheating on Nathan.”
Codie Lea: “I have told you before, I’m not a liar and I’m really glad that you can see that.”
It’s the first time Nathan has heard Laurelle apologise, but Laurelle then revealed she still didn’t respect Codie Lea as a person.
Laurelle: “One thing I will say to you Codie. I respect the fact that you are Nathan’s partner. I respect the fact that you are Starr’s mother, but I do not respect you as a person.”
Codie Lea then revealed Laurelle was lying in the lie detector test when she said she wasn’t jealous of Nathan and Codie Lea’s relationship.
In a fiery exchange, Laurelle denied she was lying and stormed out saying Codie Lea was disrespecting her.
Laurelle: “I’m not jealous of you Codie, I’m not jealous of your relationship at all. You have taken him away from me. You believe a f**ken lie detector test over your own mother? You think I’m f**ken jealous of you two? It’s bullshit.”
Then Laurelle stormed off. After his mother walks out, Nathan admitted he doesn’t know where he can go from here to repair the damage with his mother.
Nathan: “I got no idea where to from here. I’m lost…where to from here? I guess it’s up to Leanne or somebody else to help us or something because quite simply she can’t sit there and have a conversation like a civil adult still.”
