There is little that is straight forward about pregnancy. A woman’s body grows in weird places. Her hormones are all over the place. Her partner often experiences sympathetic pains & mood swings.

It’s a test on any relationship, but when it’s only been a couple of months? It’s much more complicated. LET’S TALK ABOUT opens a door on the stresses and strains and delivers a very funny 10 x 5-minute ep series about the inanities and profundity of unexpected procreation.

Created by & starring Matilda Brown (Claire), the series dives through 10 major moments in the pregnant couple’s lives – from acceptance of the impending birth to money worries, from meeting & telling the in-laws to sex – and does so with a wry smile and a joyous heart.

Claire met Ben (Richard Davies) at a 6 year old’s birthday party where the deed took place. He wasn’t ready (he hasn’t even moved out of home yet) & she’s not ready but… they have to be ready now.  Joining the fun are Matilda’s real life dad Bryan Brown as her on-screen father, Lisa Hensley (Claire’s Mum), Steve Le Marquand (Surf Shop owner), & Bruce Spence (truth-telling Dad who meets Ben in a bathroom).

With the series totaling 40 minutes it’s a very easy and completely enjoyable single sitting of new Australian comedic drama. Let’s Talk About is smart, relatable TV.

Let’s Talk About – 10 eps, on Presto from Fri 30 October 2015.
