American Horror Story: Hotel is the fifth chapter in Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s ground-breaking horror series. The series premieres October 7th in the US, it will run on ELEVEN from October 12, at 9.30pm.
This year’s recurring cast and special guest stars include pop sensation and six-time Grammy Award winner Lady Gaga, supermodel Naomi Campbell, White Collar and Magic Mike heart-throb Matt Bomer and New Girl star Max Greenfield. American Horror Storyfavourites Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Denis O’Hare, Evan Peters, Wes Bentley and Chloë Sevigny return.
American Horror Story: Hotel tells the story of detective and family man John Lowe who is investigating a chain of gruesome murders in Los Angeles. A mysterious tip points him to the enigmatic Hotel Cortez, which is home to both permanent residents and short-stay guests. What ensues is a mixed bag of dark and twisted supernatural phenomena, sure to leave viewers mesmerised and horrified.
Lady Gaga will star as The Countess, the blood-sucking owner of Hotel Cortez who has a strong desire for romantic entanglements which often end in a ghastly and messy death.
Co-creator, executive producer, writer and director, Ryan Murphy, said of Gaga: “She’s the only actress I think I’ve worked with who wanted to do more explicit stuff than was written.”
