Farmer Wants a Wife heats up with mothers’ matchmaking. Who will stay?

On Channel 7 and 7plus during Tuesday’s episode of Farmer Wants A Wife, host Sam Armytage took a unique approach by involving the farmers’ mothers in the matchmaking process.

This twist added a personal touch to the quest for love, with Sam texting the farmers, “Your mother has chosen two incredible women who they think would be an excellent match for you.”

As the farmers grappled with the decision to invite one or both of the recommended ladies back to their farms, Joe expressed mixed feelings, saying, “I don’t want to feel guilty about this, but I want my mum to really like the person I’m with. So if she has seen something in someone, I really want to explore that.”

Emotional strains surfaced when Lauren found it difficult to watch Farmer Bert considering new romantic possibilities. She made a tearful exit, stating, “I wanted to come chat to you, because I’m really struggling. This whole process has been really hard for me. I’m not sure I can keep doing it, so I’ve got my bags. I’m gonna go home.” Her departure left Bert visibly disturbed.

Meanwhile, a visit to Tom’s farm had Angela, a mother’s pick, realizing farm life wasn’t for her. “I have come to conclusion that I just don’t want to live on a farm, with lots of animals. It’s a bit smelly. I’d definitely like to be in my beautiful house in the city,” she remarked before deciding to leave.

The mystery deepened with Dean temporarily missing from the farm, leaving everyone puzzled. Upon his return, Dean dramatically changed the dynamics by sending Bella and Tiffany home and declaring his feelings for Teegan: “I’ve fallen in love with you.”

Looking ahead to Sunday night, excitement builds as the contestants prepare for the anticipated Farmer Wants A Wife country ball, promising a night of dances and possible romances. With solo dates as the prize, competition is fierce, and Karli, one of Bert’s ladies, remains hopeful, asserting, “It’s been hard, but I’m not the one to give up.” The evening promises more drama as someone decides to leave the ball early, ensuring another heartbreak.

Farmer Wants A Wife premieres at 7.00 pm Sunday, 7.30 pm Monday and Tuesday on Channel 7 and 7plus.
