Tonight, ABC revisits one of Australian sport’s most dramatic personal stories, tracing Scott Miller’s journey from Olympic success to addiction, crime and prison.

For the first time, Deep End: The Scott Miller Story sees the former swimming star speak candidly about the choices that shaped his rise, fall and ongoing attempt to rebuild his life.

New from the ABC NEWS Documentary unit in partnership with Jam TV Australia, a two-part documentary charting the dramatic rise and fall of Olympic swimmer Scott Miller, and his ongoing fight to rebuild his life.

Once a golden boy of Australian sport, Scott Miller had it all: medals, fame, and a nation’s admiration. Then came personal tragedy and a fall into addiction, crime and eventually prison.

Now for the first time, Miller tells the unfiltered story and confronts the choices that derailed his life, the people he hurt, and the long road back from the brink.

Episode one charts his meteoric rise from a promising childhood to Olympic success and media stardom before the cracks begin to show.

As the pressure mounts and he faces devastating loss, his career ends abruptly and his life spirals into addiction.

Deep End: The Scott Miller Story airs tonight, Monday 22 June at 8PM, on ABC and ABC iview.
