From the race to the IPL Final and the NBA Western Conference Finals, through to critical mid-season battles in the AFL and NRL, the next seven days shape as one of the busiest weekends on the sporting calendar.

AFL – Blue Ribbon Cup, Historic Form and Friday Night Fireworks

Round 12 of the AFL season arrives with significant storylines across the competition, beginning with the annual Blue Ribbon Cup clash between St Kilda Saints and Hawthorn Hawks on Thursday May 28 from 6:30pm AEST on Fox Footy, available on Kayo Sports and Foxtel.

The match marks the 27th annual Blue Ribbon Cup, which honours Victorian police officers. The occasion is expected to attract a major crowd at Marvel Stadium, with public transport across Victoria currently free for commuters through the end of May.

Cricket – Australia Begins ODI Series As IPL Reaches Finale

Saturday’s coverage begins with Sunshine Coast Lightning v Giants Netball from 4:30pm AEST.

When the teams met earlier this season, the Lightning secured a 57–51 win, led by standout shooter Donnell Wallam.

At 6:45pm AEST, West Coast Fever host Melbourne Mavericks after previously defeating the Mavericks 59–47 earlier in the year following a dominant opening quarter.
