Seven has confirmed its AFL finals coverage for this week, with four matches set to air live and free across Seven and 7plus.

The finals continue on Thursday night, with Fremantle hosting Hawthorn at Optus Stadium before three more matches across Friday and Saturday.

Following last weekend’s AFL Wildcard Finals, Fremantle will host Hawthorn in Thursday Night Footy, with Seven’s coverage beginning from 7.00pm AEST.

Hamish McLachlan and Rebecca Maddern will host the coverage from Optus Stadium, joined by Brian Taylor, Luke Hodge, Kane Cornes, Nick Riewoldt and 7 News Perth reporter Ryan Daniels.

Fremantle finished the home-and-away season on top of the ladder and will be looking to secure a home Preliminary Final and a week off, while Hawthorn will be hoping to overturn the result of their Round 9 meeting, when Fremantle won by 15 points.

The finals then move to the MCG on Friday night, with Geelong taking on Carlton, with coverage beginning from 7.00pm AEST.

James Brayshaw and Alister Nicholson will call the action, with Abbey Holmes hosting alongside Dale Thomas and Matthew Richardson. 7 News reporter Xander McGuire will also be part of the coverage.

Saturday’s action begins in Sydney, with the Swans hosting the Brisbane Lions from 2.30pm AEST, before Adelaide hosts the Western Bulldogs in an Elimination Final at Adelaide Oval, with coverage beginning from 6.30pm AEST.

The 2026 NAB AFLW season will also continue across Seven this weekend, with the competition marking AFLW Indigenous Round.

Western Bulldogs v Sydney Swans begins Saturday’s coverage from 12.30pm AEST, followed by Brisbane Lions v GWS Giants from 6.30pm AEST.

On Sunday, Carlton and Collingwood will meet at Ikon Park from 3.00pm AEST, with the match live and free on Seven and 7plus.

Seven will broadcast every match of the AFL Finals Series live and free, including the AFL Grand Final and Brownlow Medal.

Friday, 4 September, 7.00pm AEST — Seven and 7plus Sport

Adelaide v Western Bulldogs
Saturday, 5 September, 6.30pm AEST — Seven and 7plus Sport

Seven’s finals coverage kicks off from 7.00pm AEST on Thursday night, with Fremantle v Hawthorn live on Seven, 7mate and 7plus.
