John Travolta’s ‘Propeller One-Way Night Coach’ cleared for take-off on Apple TV
Apple has released the first trailer and artwork for new feature film “Propeller One-Way Night Coach,” led by John Travolta, who takes on multiple roles behind the scenes.
The film is written, directed, narrated and produced by the two-time Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe and Emmy winner, marking a significant creative involvement in the project.
Set during aviation’s so-called golden age, the story follows young plane enthusiast Jeff, played by newcomer Clark Shotwell, travelling with his mother, portrayed by Kelly Eviston-Quinnett, on a one-way journey across the United States to Hollywood.
What begins as a routine trip evolves into a formative experience, with the pair encountering a mix of airline traditions and personalities along the way.
Passengers and crew include flight attendants played by Ella Bleu Travolta and Olga Hoffmann, alongside a range of larger-than-life travellers. The journey also introduces moments of first-class travel, stopovers and inflight experiences that shape Jeff’s outlook on the future.
The film is positioned as suitable for a broad audience, with its narrative focusing on both family and adventure elements.
“Propeller One-Way Night Coach” will first screen at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival before its wider release. It is produced under John Travolta’s banner JTP Films Inc, alongside Kids At Play, with additional producers Jason Berger and Amy Laslett.
The release forms part of the Apple Original Films slate available on Apple TV, which the company says offers a range of drama, comedy, films and documentaries. According to the company, its platform has achieved significant awards recognition since launching globally on 1 November 2019, including hundreds of wins and nominations across its catalogue.
