HBO Max brings new Canadian drama HEATED RIVALRY to Aussie screens

HBO Max is set to turn up the heat this November with the arrival of Heated Rivalry, a six-part romantic drama plunging viewers into the high-stakes world of professional hockey.

The new Canadian series drops later this month on Friday, 28 November with a double episode premiere, then continues with weekly releases every Friday until the finale on 26 December.

Created for Canada’s Crave by award-winning writer-director-producer Jacob Tierney (Letterkenny, Shoresy) and adapted from Rachel Reid’s bestselling Game Changers novels, Heated Rivalry follows rival hockey stars Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie).

What begins as a secret fling between the rookies grows into an intense, years-long journey of love, denial, and self-discovery, all while chasing glory on the ice.

Produced by Accent Aigu Entertainment in association with Bell Media’s Crave and distributed internationally by Sphere Abacus, Heated Rivalry brings romance, ambition, and on-ice tension together in a drama that promises both thrills and heart.

Heated Rivalry premieres Friday, 28 November, only on HBO Max in Australia.
