Manu puts Michael in his place as tensions boil over at Mark and Tan’s Charmed Instant Restaurant, where Thai flavours shine and a leaderboard shake-up follows

My Kitchen Rules served up more than Thai flavours on Wednesday night, with Gatecrashers Mark and Tan staging their Instant Restaurant, Charmed, and drawing one of Manu Feildel’s firmest interventions of the season.

Tan, who manages two restaurants but is not a chef, led the entrée and main with Grilled Octopus with Thai-style Chimichurri and Chicken Khao Soi, while Mark closed with Passionfruit Crème Brûlée. The pair aimed to chase down the highest score in series history. They didn’t topple the record, but they still banked 80 out of 110 to sit second on the leaderboard.

The food landed, but the friction at the table stole oxygen. Michael accused rivals Amy and Lara of misrepresenting their background, wielding printed research and referencing Amy’s social media as he tried to paint her as a professional chef. Amy held the line — “a cook, not a chef” — calling the attack a “cheap shot.” That’s when Manu stepped in to clarify the rules.

“You all have skills from different places at different times.

The rule is you shouldn’t have any professional qualifications.”

My Kitchen Rules turned into a clash of flavours and egos as Manu Feildel stepped in to silence Michael during Mark and Tan’s Charmed Instant Restaurant.

Tensions flared again when Michael interrupted Manu’s critique of Tan’s main, pressing whether the dish appeared at Tan’s family restaurant and implying hidden professional experience. Manu cut through the noise.

“Listen, you either accept the rules and you play with everyone, or you don’t accept the rules and goodbye.

I’m not going back to this again.

You are either a professional and you don’t belong here, or you are an amateur and you belong here.

That’s it. Done. Move on.”

Tan responded by stressing the dish’s family roots, explaining it was made with love and tradition, drawing applause around the table.

On the plates, the Grilled Octopus entrée impressed both judges, scoring 9s across the board. Manu said the sauce was “absolutely delicious” and worthy of bottling, while Colin Fassnidge praised the char and balance, saying he’d order it again. The Chicken Khao Soi was the night’s highlight — a perfect 10 from both judges, with Colin noting it “put a smile on my face,” and Manu calling it “just perfect. Warm, comforting, and packed with flavour.” Dessert was the stumble: Colin gave 6, Manu 5, and Mark admitted he’d let the team down, vowing to lift next time.

From the judges, Mark and Tan collected 49/60; from fellow teams, they earned 31/50 via Danielle and Marko (8/10), Michael and Rielli (6/10), Maria and Bailey (5/10), Amy and Lara (6/10), and Lol and Lil (6/10). The leaderboard now shows Danielle and Marko on 84, Mark and Tan on 80, and Maria and Bailey on 62.

Looking ahead, the competition returns to Logan on Monday, where Lol and Lil aim to sharpen technique and flavour, and Mark and Tan look set to settle the score with Meat-master Michael.

Audience reaction: six talking points from viewers

Viewers were locked on the dinner-table flashpoint — especially Manu reaching across and cutting the octopus — with multiple fans calling it the standout moment of the night and reading the move as a sign the judge was over the table drama. Several comments framed the intervention as overdue, suggesting Manu was simply enforcing the rulebook and restoring order to the critique.

Strategic scoring copped heat. Fans labelled Maria and Bailey’s 5 as “wild” given the judges’ 9s and 10s, arguing that guest teams consistently land below the official scores and that it rarely pays to go tactical because the numbers eventually wash out on the leaderboard. Some pushed for blind scoring revealed at round’s end to curb gamesmanship.

The “professional vs amateur” debate split the room. A camp argued Michael had a point about fairness if contestants have professional kitchen experience or use dishes connected to their restaurants, while others pointed out Manu’s clarification — that the line is professional qualifications — and said the show has always allowed capable home cooks to use any recipe they can execute. Several noted there’s a difference between commercial-kitchen time pressure and cooking at home, which can confer an advantage, but delivery matters — and Michael’s approach drew criticism.

Production choices were also under the microscope. Fans said they missed seeing more prep and ingredient explanation, wanting inspiration to try new techniques (octopus prep was a popular request). There was also chatter about practice — some viewers expected teams to rehearse cooking at scale, while others noted contestants submit multiple menus and only learn which one they’ll cook on the day.

The episode’s edit drew soap-opera comparisons, with some calling the drama script-worthy and likening certain dinner-party antics — including printed social posts — to other reality formats. Meanwhile, Dannielle’s outfit won quiet praise, proving wardrobe doesn’t go unnoticed even on a food-first franchise.

Finally, Michael himself remained divisive. Many condemned the interruption of a judge mid-critique and the confrontational tone, suggesting it overshadowed his cooking and played into producer-friendly content. Others, while critical of his delivery, maintained the underlying fairness question deserves a cleaner airing — just not at the judges’ table.

  1. Well done, scores from table too low.dessert let them down. Michael is just there for ratings , wake up MKR, we want decent cooks.

    • Pam Paff
Yeh like Tan who cooks at his parents restaurant so Michael had every right to speak out.. shame on Manu for shutting him down & believing Tan does not cook at their Rest.. & only washes the dishes it’s laughable …

      • It has come to the staage (again) where the contestants say what they want and Australia is supposed to believe them.

WORST year ever for viewers. No cooks worth turning the channel on for.! If I had visitors and served up burnt pies or deserts that are inedible or a dish with no sauce shame on me. Shame on Manu and Colin for being a part of the joke.

I have switched off for good. IT is only there for ratings. No cooking skills shown yet worthy of being on television cooking show

    • Gerda Pellizzon It’s all about the original team vs. the gate crashers. How pathetic. The original team appears to be scoring the gate crashers low because they’re intimidated by the gate crashers’ cooking skills.
Hmmm. Isn’t it interesting that Michael the Meat Wanker isn’t paying out on the girls from Logan any more?
His attention has shifted to the gate crashing divorcees (and anyone who has worked in a restaurant for that matter!)
Michael is a sad little man who probably has no real friends because they probably became tired of his put downs.

      • Sandra Nadort the divorcees scored lower than Michael 2 times, 3rd time both scored 6s, so who is actually playing the game, at least Michael is open about how he feels, the divorcees are sneaky, trying to blame other teams for low scoring when it was mostly them

      • Dorothy Rouxel Michael is the definition of OBNOXIOUS. He needs to shut his mouth and open his ears to LISTEN occasionally.
He is not only in love with his meat, but also the sound of his own voice🙄

      • Sandra Nadort I don’t know how he can say he’s the Meat King with a Tongue Main, it makes it more interesting having someone like him in MKR just to peeve everyone off, it would be a bit boring if everything was plain sailing

      • Dorothy Rouxel MKR has the same formulaic production as MAFS, The Bachelor, The Block, et.al.
If it weren’t for the bitchery, no one would watch those programs.
As far as MKR goes, the cooking is a secondary consideration.
I wish that the producers would have a cook off between the winners of previous series. I would love to see Simona and Viviana and the Indian twins compete against each other. They were talented cooks without the attitude – and were a joy to watch.
I like the contestants who don’t say very much and just concentrate on the cooking. I am enjoying watching the Greek ladies and the two guys from the original group in the kitchen. It would be great to see them reach the finals.

    • I have never watched it but I would imagine the scoring is based on personalities only rather than cooking and also marking down with the idea of themselves getting a higher score. It is a bit like Come Dine with Me UK, I watch that and the winner is declared on the bases that person was not scoring themselves, the winner seems to always score the others quite low. They also score on their personal taste rather than the execution of the cooking. They may not like, for example, egg plant but the dish was amazing and cooked to perfection but they score low because they don’t like the taste of egg plant.

    • Gerda Pellizzon they are the only ones that this show should be . Michael this time wasn’t wrong even though he has a despicable attitude from the beginning, two couples are professionals ( sorry Tan is sympathetic, nice , cooks well , but watch how he is the kitchen , his knife skills, don’t tell me he was just washing the dishes in parents’s restaurant)

  2. If Michael cooked as well as he runs his mouth he could possibly be on top of the leader board, it’s not his job to investigate the other contestants, the producers have done that, he needs to sit back and keep quiet, I’m all for having an opinion but sometimes saying nothing says it all, good on Manu for putting him in his place, interrupting a judges critique is just plain rude, his arrogance will get him nowhere.

  3. Thank god manu hate he’s opinions down grading the Logan girls also cut the crap 💩 Michael your getting boring and the gate crashes are great love them all

  4. Honestly, Tan would’ve been better off solo since Mark’s hopeless… the dessert was a letdown. Michael needed to be shown the door for his lack of respect.

  5. Bearded “JUG EARS” Does it again…should have been shown the door permanently. Mark? another bearded big mouth idiot If he stopped grinning and concentrated on learning how to cook. What a fucked show !!

    • Gary Ashton Any ‘cook’ would know a recipe was essential for that dessert, no idea why Tan allowed Mark to do it freestyle when they wanted to beat 104.

      • Christine Williams Yeah and adding water to stretch the mixture was crazy then not having any eggs He really let Tan down (Didnt put the mixture into a pouring pot)

  6. Michael is unbelievably rude.
I do think more ‘professional ‘ cooks are being permitted rather than clear basic home cooks 😕 Unfair

    • Michelle Neill but saying he’s not appreciate the rules, is so wrong. They knew what Michael was like before he came on the show.

  7. Winner winner, chicken dinner, omg the look on the so called meat masters face was priceless, your on your way out Michael, good riddance!!

  8. This show is filmed, produced and edited by ITV studios and aired in Australia by the seven network. Unfortunately, seven has just renewed its association for a few more years, so looks like we are stuck with this scripted show. No good of us complaining about the show and saying they need to get rid of Michael as it was filmed months ago. The incident of the OGs trying to cut the octopus was so staged as was Michaels investigative skills. This “created” a tense situation at the table, but not long after they were all joking and laughing with each other. no wonder that seven network is struggling.

    • Philip Sherlock exactly…many do not realize that these scenes are staged often with 2 or 3 takes. Scenes such as this are scripted by producers on all so called reality shows these days for drama and controversy otherwise producers feel the show would be too boring for viewers. Some of the acting is pretty obvious and overdone particularly in Michael”s case in my view. 😁

  9. So is it safe to start watching again…I quit when he started on the divorcees…had enough of his bs and manu should of stepped in alof earlier so no marks for him either

  10. Cooking for large group is different to home cooking so yes he is cooking in restaurants because he is aware of ratio as for manu giving 6 for that desert which was a cup of scrambled eggs proves their is favouritism

    • Margaret Olivieri the first batch of dessert were ok. As Manu said he does not cook in the restaurant his parents do he is front of house.

      • Marolyn BlakeMarolyn Blake so you’re saying he doesn’t know the recipe as he has never been in his parents restaurant or help them cook .. come on not even you believe that

      • Mark Hobbs I didn’t say he didn’t know the recipe. He has learnt from his parents. He does not cook in the restaurant. So your parents have never taught you anything?

      • Marolyn Blake I have been making the same point you are too. I know I learned how to cook through my grandmother and mother and I use these tried and true recipes and also have served some of them and people paid for them!! Oh I also follow tutorial videos as well by professional chefs so I learn how to make them, step by step. Oh shock horror. It’s not like cooks usually make things up from scratch so gee… hmm use recipes??? The arguments some people make are ridiculous.

      • Tracey Doherty exactly and as Colin said he gave Michael 3 for his meat dish and he calls himself the meat master NOT. I hope he opens his mouth again and Manu kicks him out or they stuff their second cook.

      • Marolyn Blake I grew up eating offal ( Irish family and dad was a butcher, so we got it ALL) so I learned, just from sitting in a kitchen and watching, how to not only properly prep things like beef tongue but also how to cook it PROPERLY. Michael was clueless both times. If you remember, he was “all good” to serve the odd grey first one, until Rielli said NO!!! Can you imagine how much lower the score would have been if he served up the first one as he wanted? Even the fact he didn’t have the insight to set aside some of the cooking liquor to reduce to make a sauce, was gobsmacking to me as well. Anyway, I have a horrible gut feeling, especially if he scores low, yet again next week, he will drag out his a4 print offs when the Divorcees cook. He doesn’t learn. If he does, I hope Colin “goes” him as Colin being an Irish bloke, will NOT be as subtle as he could be, Manu was.

      • Marolyn Blake the dessert was made by Tan’s friend with no passion fruit flavour and bad consistency.

    • Marolyn BlakeMarolyn Blake how do you know he has never cooked in their restaurant .. . Lol the whole show is a joke

      • Mark Hobbs phew ! He is serving the same dish in his restaurants and don’t make them ? And he did the washing up according to Manu in his parents’s restaurant?? Please . Have seen his knife skills ? This show turns in a joke indeed

    • Margaret Olivieri you are absolutely right . Manu’s story about professional/ amateur was ridiculous . You can see Tan’s knife skills . If nothing else. This show turns like all tv shows , disappointing

      • Francois Homberger you are joking aren’t you what the Fuck has knife skill got to do with cooling nothing you should see my knife skill fileting fish

    • Tracey Lee actually I think it is the program that promotes this. Michael is over the top. But not a lover of the divorcees either.

    • Tracey Lee Even Maria, when she said she couldn’t cut through the octopus. It’s good too see them reign in the drama and just give credit where credit is due.

    • Tracey Lee only for the cameras…if it was genuine they would have stopped shooting and he be reprimanded off camera…so disappointed in this show…it used to y
Be the best it’s obvious no o no gets a hot meal so how can they judge cold meals 😄😄😄

    • Tracey Lee I think Michael was called out in the wrong moment by Manu, as in this case foul mouthed Michael was right . Someone who is payed to cook for events and strangers is a professional. And Tan .. he is absolutely sympathetic but don’t tell me he did the washing up only in his parents’s restaurant! Or that he serves in his two restaurants the same dish and he never cooks it there .

  11. I thought my kitchen rules last night was so good as Manu shut down meat master last night hahahaha lololololol good on U Manu

    • Jenna Louise Rogers yes good on Manu , although mr 3 score tried to have the last word Manu cut him off
I think Manu should humiliate him and tell him they are sick of his behaviour and time to leave

      • Rosie Mccully I don’t care too much for Michael but I think he made a good point
I dont believe for one minute that he doesn’t cook in the kitchen at the two restaurants.

      • Anne Mottram you are missing the point… it doesn’t matter if you cook or don’t cook… you just cannot have a qualification as a chef!!!! That’s what Michael can’t get through his head… he is also jealous and threatened when others cook well so he tries to discredit them

        • Unfortunately ,You are wrong ! Amateur Status: My Kitchen Rules is designed to feature home cooks, not those who make a living or have formal training in the culinary field.
Yes,it matter! Read the MKR contestant rules and apologize to Michael.

      • Tania Schokman that would mean that anyone who runs a restaurant and cooks can enter the show as long as they dont have a piece of paper that says that they are chefs

    • Jenna Louise Rogers and Maria with her octopus. I love how they were trying to make it seem like it was hard to cut, then Manu cut with ease haha..I only like the two girls from the old group in this round. 🤣🤣🤣

      • Rachael Wright that was very cool, lol don’t think she or any of us expected Manu to cut it, but proved her so wrong lol

      • June Parata Manu has Michael pegged
Love the way Manu gives a wink once he gives his verdict
Michael will never see what is explained to him because he is a narcissist
I hope his partner tells him to pull his head him
So glad Colin reminded him what score he gave for the Tongue 👅
How producers encourage bullying etc for ratings is disgraceful
Hope Michael’s time is limited but I think he be there for a while as the audience likes the stirring of the pot

      • Jennifer Kruger time will tell haha. I hope the Petth couple win or the 2 that have gone through already 😀

      • Rachael Wright the only honest and decent couple are Daniell and marko , so I hope the win the whole competition

    • Jenna Louise Rogers
      I don’t know
But I do know I know a few Thai ppl and they do like to learn off their parent how they cook their meals
I feel Michael is sore because he made a stuff up of their cook after praising himself to a high level
      Manu explained the rules
So I hope Michael gets off his high horse

      • Rosie Mccully Thai people also are close when it comes to work and I cannot see him working in the restaurant with his parents its their culture

      • Anne Mottram exactly
Michael is sour because the critique on his failures was not to his liking
With each of the contestants he has either shook his head or was of negative attitude
Because the others were of better cook
        🧑‍🍳

      • Rosie Mccully I agree but I just think that he had a valid point that if you have people on the show that own restaurants especially in this case restaurants owned by the parents its not an even playing field because I don’t care what he said about not working in the kitchen I dont believe him, its not their culture, they all work together,
his friend who doesn’t own a restaurant made a dessert that was a failure

    • Jenna Louise Rogers except , for once he was right , as much as he has a despicable attitude from the beginning, in this case he is not wrong . There are two couples who are not amateurs, home cooks . And Manu explanation about the rules is ridiculous, not qualifying to either of them . And going on and on is tiring .
This was one of my favourite show in Australia, such a shame this year there is one couple Marko with his wife who are what this show should be about . The rest of it is became like every tv show now . 👹

    • Jenna Louise Rogers i love manu but gotta say this time I think his wrong.michael yeah well we all know his got his attitude but this time I think his right.

    • Jenna Louise Rogers the judges have to do as the producers tell them, and the meat master was getting to close to the truth ,there are not supposed to be professionals in the show and looks like there is at least 2, that’s why Manu had to shut him down

  12. This show is like all the other reality shows…it’s about controversy…bitches, & arseholes…they got to follow the script…that’s what I reckon anyway.

    • David Hugh Donnelly If I were a nurse and had some (limited) experience, would you all be happy for me to be called a doctor? Since I have some skills ..

      • Julie Matheson that’s totally different you need a degree to be a doctor. You don’t necessarily need one to be a chef

      • Julie Matheson if someone is stupide enough to pay you as a doctor when you are a nurse ( although they know for a lots of part quite a lot ) then you qualify as professional, even if your comparison is totally out of context.

    • David Hugh Donnelly just because your parents are chefs or not and show you how to cook doesn’t make you a professional Chef

  13. Micheal the meat master is no master of anything he is just a big mouth that knows nothing I can not stand him I do hope he does not make it to the next round of my kitchen rules

  14. Even Reilli was disgusted with his antics, 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
    She’s seeing Ted flags…

    • Sophie Smith we heard perfectly what he said and his explanation was ridiculous regarding the the professional/ amateur story . Someone who is payed for their skills / services aren’t amateurs.

  15. How is he meat master who gave big mouth Micheal that title after some of his actions should be removed from the show

  16. i guess michael is doing what he is paid to do, got people talking and at the end of the day that is what gets people viewing the show. Every year there is a villian/villians so Michael is it this season 😟

    • Christine Smith and people get sucked in every time. The contestants are just a rehash of the same stories as the last season. I record the show don’t listen to the BS around the table and watch what they cook and the judges comments Takes me about 30 minutes once you take out the ads and all the stupid comments.

      • Carole Cruise we record the show and just fast forward through the ads as well . I watch master chef , Australia greatest bakeoff as well and these 2 shows are complete opposites when it comes to the contestant attitudes towards each other. it isn’t a good look for younger viewers

  17. Michael the Meat Masturbater needs to be asked to leave. He can’t stand anyone else criticising him and it has been hilarious to see his ‘pussy bum’ expression when it happens.
He’s a typical narcissist. It’s all about him.
Michael is so up himself that he probably doesn’t realise the MANY interpretations of the label he has given himself🤣🤣🤣

  18. Michael is rude and arrogant also he is disrespectful loved mark and Tan’s connection in the kitchen well done totally deserved goodbye to the what ever meat holder

  19. I actually don’t blame him l don’t think people that own a restaurant that their parents work in should be up against people that cook at home. You can’t tell me that he hasn’t cooked with his parents at some stage. He actually started the way his parents had shown him. And as far as the two women it’s the same you do it as a job not just for friends or at home.
But l will be glad to see Michael go.

    • Jennifer McCutcheon well he was cooking at home last night, no restaurant to fall back on, he learned from his parents at 8 at home.

    • Jennifer McCutcheon Remember Reynold from Masterchef? His parents owned a restaurant, but I don’t think he cooked in it before he applied for his first go on Masterchef. His parents even tried to dissuade him from a career as a chef. I don’t see a difference between Reynold and Tan.

    • Jennifer McCutcheon Micheal is horrible in so many ways but in this case he was right . I agree with you , don’t tell me Tan didn’t cook in his parents’s restaurant, or that he has two restaurants where he serves the same dish and he doesn’t make it ?? And the woman who is payed to cook to strangers , that’s called a professional cook ( or chef whatever you want to disguise the thing ) . It’s disappointing 👹

    • Jennifer McCutcheon different from owning a restaurant and cooking in one,can own a construction company and not be a buildet or an airline and not fly!

  20. Obviously there are rules in place to make the competition fair & yes there are some real good cooks ,just because I had a take away a chef does not make . Pull you head in Michael. Yes compete but judge fairly .Good on you Manu .

  21. About time they shut him up get him out of the show he calls himself the meat master should have said the shit master

  22. And Michael sure did need to be put in his place, he really is a nasty person.Good on Manu for setting him straight however he still argued with Manu, how disrespectful is that big ears block?

  23. The dessert let them down poor Tan should have picked a better cook Micheal also made a fool of himself making an egg custard dessert

  24. Throw him off the show I see previews it’s horrible that’s why I don’t watch this show contestants are mean rude and bullies

  25. These guys were good the judges marked them well so did Danielle and Marko but the others were very un fair and yet most of them were hopeless cooks they are so very jealous

  26. The meat monster needs to be removed .. he’s rude he’s abrasive he is sexist and he can’t cook for shit how the f did he make it ffs ..

  27. Why is it the producers feel the need to spoil shows by adding vindictive, annoying, arrogant people. We just want to see them cook

  28. Michael needs to go, he’s not a team player, got a really selfish image of himself, think the term is wanker

  29. Michael needs to go big time, he’s so annoying and a rude prick. Not sure what his girlfriend sees in him.

  30. Just get rid of Michael loved the show now I don’t even watch it because of his bullshit he is a narcissistic

  31. The desert was an absolute shocker, it was obvious when he was preparing that it was going to turn out like this. First two dishes, bravo 👏

  32. Thankyou Manu should have been much earlier and sent home before show finished recording he is a BIG embarrassment and a Stuart as required Carn’t stand him, but you guys did amazing job well done keep going low scoring from others DISGUSTING well what comes around goes around there all next 333333

  33. I’m glad Manu put him in his place. Michael reminds me a knob that drives a truck for the company I work for. Neither one knows how to just let something go while pushing everyone’s buttons and then play the victim when someone reacts

    • Joe Agresta No no no no no. There was a season that there was a Michael but wasn’t him, & the last one i think you mean Ryan.😃

  34. What a bitchy, nasty hateful show MKR has turned into. There’s enough hate and nastiest in the world without having TV shows making it ok. Hope the ratings plummet and we no longer see it again after this season.

  35. No longer interested in the show after last night, Michael is 100% on the money it’s no longer home cooks

  36. I think Manu should have told the so called meat master . To hang up his apron, he is no longer on the show . But they have to have a bully on the show , that’s how their ratings go up

  37. About time Manu got stuck into that idiot meat master I carnt wait to see him cook hope they get a very low score and boot them out

  38. Michael should be told to leave, who does he think he is by going on about the rules when he was told. Manu has all the right to kick him off. Yes he is ruining the show.

  39. Contestants didn’t score Mark and Tan fairly. They had two out of three dishes that got really good critiques but dessert let them down. IMO they should have gotten either 7s or 8s from the contestants.

    Glad Manu shut Michael down.

  40. If it is scripted & the producers pick someone so vain ,rude & obnoxious that people will watch to to see them fail but this year they have picked someone so insidious and self obsessed that regular viewers who have watched all seasons are changing the Channel!

  41. I assumed they were given 6 because the contestant teams scored so low that they were making up to be fair. Fancy giving a 5??????? Lowest score should have been minimum 7

  42. Can’t understand why there’s people are accented on there’s shows. They should be family shows not putting people down etc.Sooo much nastiness comeon don’t make us dislike you.

  43. It’s Bullshit it’s suppose to be about home cooks so Tan shouldn’t be allowed in it or the other Divorcee cooking for stars !

    • Debra Ann Patton exactly. Not a fan of Michael ( who is ?) but he is not wrong and he was called out in the wrong moment.

  44. Gerda Pellizzon so true, 2 fabulous courses worth at least a 7, scoring strategically low shows a lot about their charachter or lack of it

  45. Michael needs to be kicked off, the scores last night were strategic 7 was a drcebt score even with a dodgie dessert, the team scores were too low for 2 great meals

  46. I don’t understand why the people on the show talk and score the way they do, I am meaning Straticily to keep them in the competition, when everything is recorded. Are they all dumb as? Really like Danielle and Marko and got a soft spot for the Logan girls, and congrats to the 2 teams that went straight through. The rest as one team as said, MEH.

  47. it’s all BS..I have no doubt the MM is paid to wind every one up..its not about cooking any more..just like TheBlock, it just ain’t real

  48. I agree score wasn’t fair I was happy with judge score they my favourite chefs Love Manu Colin Love watching you both love Grid show awsome stuff.Brilliant idea🙏💜

  49. Manu’s faux outrage needs to be called out.
He has a PROFESSIONAL cook amongst the gatecrashers.
You get paid to cook for someone, you’re the definition of a professional cook.
    Hello, Amy….

  50. It’s not hard to cook for a crowd if you know what you are doing I’m not a chef but I can put a dinner party on and know it’s going to be good 👍

  51. Let’s face it Michael is right. Tan’s parents cook in their restaurant and Tan cooked a meal that is on their restaurant menu. Mumand dad taught him how to cook. At the very least he should not be allowed to cook anything that is on his parents’ restaurant menu.

    • Yvonne Day it’s worse it’s in his restaurants ( two of them ) ‘s menu . I don’t believe he doesn’t cook there

  52. I agree with Michael it’s a show for home cooks not professional cooks professional means you get paid to cook

  53. i’d like to meet the meat master 😂 i’m a butcher buy trade and could make him look like a bumbling child 😂😂

  54. Shame l like tan but l cannot stand mark or Michael and the guy with the big porno glasses is starting to be in the same category as Michael. I thought the entre and main was really good but dessert was shit

  55. The ordinary contestants do not have the opportunity to go to chefs for recipes and advice so the rules of the show need to be overhauled to make it a purely amateur cast. Manu is out of order

  56. The meat master has a valid point tho the competition SHOULD BE for home cooks only not people that have business as a few of them have

    • Craige Waite They can have a food based business, they can’t cook in those kitchens or they are ineligible for the show. A lot of people run the “business” (aka paperwork) side of the business while someone else does the actual cooking. There IS a difference, which was the point Manu has been trying to make.

      • Jolenda Tusler so what is your take on the lady who is payed to cook for events and strangers ( celebrities according to her 🙄) ? Just because foul mouthed Michael presented this problem doesn’t make it less valid . Tan as well , he SAYS he only cooks at home . I don’t believe he didn’t cook in his parents’s restaurant before going in business, and he serves the same dish in his restaurants and never cooks it there ?

      • Francois Homberger First, they’re not HIS restaurants, his parents own it, his mum taught him and if it’s a tried and true much loved recipe, then yeah it probably would be served both at home and in the venue. As for cooking for “celebrities” – yes sometimes they hire non-chef cooks to cook for them as they are cheaper than chefs to hire. The producers will have researched and vetted every contestant before approval.

  57. There is at least one drama queen in every reality show that they allow! It’s scripted from the interview when they have to submit a video. These shows lose audiences due to negativity 🤬

    • Donna White so interrupting Manu was not rude? It was bloody rude, And disrespectful … now I will be disrespectful & rude, please don’t comment to me a y further because you don’t know what you are saying & I won’t answer just a waste if time!!🤬🤬🤬

  58. Who the hello dose he think he is Michael better than everyone else kick him offfff the show he is nothing but a know it all

  59. I don’t like the divorcies I know for a fact if she cooked for Chris Hemsworth they only hire chefs not cooks.
As my good friend has worked for high profile people and she is a chef.

  60. Yes Michael doesn’t know when to stop, but that’s why they picked him to be on the show.
But I do think that it’s unfair to have Tan on the show as he would have worked in the family business growing up, like most Asians would have.
Lol and Lil haven’t had that experience????
    Just saying.

  61. I didn’t like the way big mouth spoke to Manu but sounds like he had a lot of experience with his parents restaurant not complenty just a home cook which the show is all about just a little unfair

    • Beryl .Cocup nobody likes Michael but he was right for the lady who cooks for salary and Tan’s story too . They aren’t home cooks

  62. I completely agree with Michael. If you own a cooking business, it’s unfair to compete against home cooks. Manu was way out of line.

  63. Should have kicked Michael and Reilli out. He is nothing but a tool and definitely can’t cook. Hope they are the next to get kicked out.

  64. Oh nooo not the self proclaimed meat master who has no idea on how to cook n should not be on the show!!!!!

  65. Michael will get his comeuppance. He is trying to be too smart for his own good. He is researching the credentials of all the other contests in the the hope he can discredit them. He is insinuating that those who have worked or still work in a restaurant are not cooks but chefs. He is opening his mouth before he puts his brain in gear. Hope he falls on his sword and is eliminated.

  66. Most of them need shutting down, it’s ridiculous the way some contestants think they can just carry on without following the rules, the judges need to take a firm stance now

  67. Get Michael out of there. He’s so annoying and self centered. He’s hard to watch and listen to. The judges should have the power to piss him off the show.

  68. He has a point. Based on the rules as pointed out by Manu – Maggie Beer, or Neil Perry could enter as neither as qualified chefs.
Michael is horrendous but he does have a point

  69. It’s a shame that it’s all scripted and they have to have good and bad characters to create controversy, why can’t it be about cooking, without the dramas.

  70. Took long enough for someone to say something to that idiot. Should have been kicked out ages ago for his BS.

  71. All the OG’s are threatened by the gate crashers. They all scored unfairly. Only judges should score.

  72. Definitely agree with Michael although went about it the wrong way

When the first MKR competition started was for home cooks only

No affiliation with restaurants bakery etc

    Just ordinary home cooks

I think MKR has gone down the wrong path

People affiliated with food businesses should be on the master chef path not MKR

  73. Michael spoils the teams of MKR sick and tired of all his stupid silly comments he always spoils it and he can’t bloody cook
