Fresh talent lit up The Voice Australia stage as coaches were wowed by raw emotion, creative twists and bold song choices.

The Blind Auditions on The Voice Australia keep delivering powerful performances, with four new artists stepping into the spotlight and winning over the coaches. From soulful ballads to bold reimaginations of classics, the latest episode brought emotion, energy and a few surprises.

Ellaphon Ta

Ellaphon Ta, a 27-year-old youth worker from Auckland, turned all four chairs with his heartfelt take on The Middle by Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey. Music has been central to Ellaphon’s life after a difficult childhood, and with his wife and six-week-old daughter watching on, the moment carried extra weight. He chose Team Ronan after drawing glowing praise from the panel.

Richard Marx: “You are on the list of one of the greatest voices I’ve ever heard.”

Kate Miller-Heidke: “That transported me to another world.”

Melanie C: “You were singing directly from your soul.”

Ronan Keating: “What a voice! I had goosebumps!”

Cherie Sandoval

With high energy and a dancer’s flair, Cherie Sandoval, 35, from the Gold Coast, lit up the stage with Livin’ la Vida Loca by Ricky Martin. A former professional Brazilian Samba dancer, Cherie earned chair turns from Richard Marx, Kate Miller-Heidke and Melanie C. She joined Team Melanie, who praised her stamina and performance style.

Melanie C: “You kind of went from strength to strength. You didn’t tire yourself out. So incredible stamina.”

Kate Miller-Heidke: “You are just a born performer. Your stage presence is magnetic.”

Richard Marx: “You crushed it. You were like, I got this. You didn’t sound out of breath.”

Euan Hart

Euan Hart, a 25-year-old from Sydney, kept things cool and understated with his version of Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams. His delivery caught the attention of Kate Miller-Heidke and Ronan Keating, with Euan ultimately choosing Team Kate.

Kate Miller-Heidke: “I was totally transfixed.”

Ronan Keating: “You look like a star.”

Olivia Coe Fox

One of the night’s most memorable auditions came from Olivia Coe Fox, a 21-year-old Wiradjuri woman from Sydney. Performing I Am Australian by The Seekers, she broke new ground by weaving Yawuru—an Indigenous language from the Kimberley region of Western Australia—into the song. The performance left Ronan and Kate visibly emotional. After four chair turns, Ronan Keating blocked Kate Miller-Heidke to secure Olivia for his team.

Kate Miller-Heidke: “I just got fully body goosebumps. I have such a love for that song, I think that should be the national anthem.”

Ronan Keating: “I was incredibly moved by that performance.”

Richard Marx: “You can sing a menu is Chinese takeaway store and I’ll be like I want all of it. And something about the greatest voice on any singing show ever.”

The Voice continues 7.30pm tonight on Seven and 7plus

  1. She was absolutely amazing the rendition this lady bought to this iconic song. Is so hard to describe.. just so beautiful xxx

      • Jennifer Griffiths Franzone yes I saw that but Kate has done some blocking of them all – this year the judges have all been too full of themselves probably Mel C has been the calmest of them all

    • Annette Shaw Why? Ronan is just as talented as Kate, I’m glad he got her into his group, He can help her with choosing other songs to show off her incredible voice. Singing that song was beautiful ,I think the audience & TV viewers were touched because it brings home to us how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful country.

  2. Olivia Coe Fox is one of my helper teachers at my school! I loved her performance! Hope she can come to my southern stars choir concert this week!❤️

  3. I had goosebumps, what a beautiful voice and audition. Ellaphon Ta could possibly be the winner.

  4. Im sorry but to call another judge a ‘Bastard’ on national TV is completely unacceptable. Imagine a male judge calling her a ‘Bitch’ – there would be hell to pay…the female judge has been offensive and swearing almost every episode….not good enough for a family show..
