After weeks of romance, tough decisions and plenty of heartfelt moments, last night’s episode of Farmer Wants A Wife saw Farmer Alex finally find the happy ending he had been searching for.
After farewelling Rachel, Alex admitted he couldn’t ignore the connection he had built with Eddy, explaining he no longer saw a future with anyone else.
Rachel accepted the decision with grace, telling Alex she was happy for the couple and describing Eddy as “a gem” before leaving the farm.
With his heart now firmly set on Eddy, Alex planned one final romantic date where he reflected on just how quickly their relationship had grown.
Laying everything on the line, he admitted he had “never felt this way about anyone before” before telling Eddy he had fallen in love with her, with Eddy revealing she was falling in love with him too.
While the pair left the experience together, reports have since suggested Alex and Eddy quietly went their separate ways not long after filming wrapped last year.
Despite that, the outcome appeared to land well with viewers, with many on social media agreeing Alex and Eddy had been one of the season’s strongest pairings from early in the season.
Rachel also drew praise for the way she handled her farewell, with many applauding the respect and maturity she showed despite the disappointment.
While Alex’s chapter has now closed, Farmer Wants A Wife still has more love stories to play out before the season is over.
