As Farmer Wants A Wife inches toward its final farewells, emotions ran high with solo dates, family involvement and unexpected twists.

Farmer Thomas introduced Clarette to his uncle after deciding she might be the one, while Chloe’s attempt to impress Corey’s mum backfired spectacularly.

Meanwhile, an awkward kiss attempt derailed Jack’s date with Hayley, and the farmers’ families took the reins in deciding who gets the next crucial 24-hour date.

From Seven:

“I believe Clarette could be the one!” Farmer Thomas is one step closer to real love

Last night on Farmer Wants A Wife: Clarette finally won Farmer Thomas’ heart; Chloe played a dangerous game publicly criticising Keeley, while Farmer Jack’s date with Hayley tanked!

Thomas, Corey and Jack continued their journey to love, each taking one lady on a romantic all-day solo date.

Corey and Chloe spent the day caving before Corey surprised Chloe with a candlelight dinner inside the cave. He also gifted her a red evening dress to wear for their dinner. Chloe said it was the “perfect date.”

In Tasmania, Farmer Jack organised a VIP visit for Hayley at Cradle Mountain’s wildlife sanctuary.

After a fun-filled day, Jack decked out a barn for a romantic evening for the pair. But any chance of romance was killed when Hayley leaned in for a kiss, and Jack awkwardly took a swig from his beer, leaving Hayley to kiss him on the cheek.

“If he wants to kiss me, he will. I’m okay for it not to be tonight because it can be another time,” said a disappointed Hayley.

Thomas returned to the pristine beaches of the west coast of the Eyre Peninsula for his one-on-one date with Clarette. He surprised her with a video featuring messages from her UK-based friends and family.

After seeing messages from her loved ones, Clarette said Thomas had demonstrated love, affection and reassurance. “I feel like he just needs to say those words, and it will open a floodgate of everything, and we can go and start our lives together,” she said.

After deciding Clarette could be the one, Thomas stopped by his uncle Tom’s house to introduce Clarette.

“My uncle’s opinion and his tick of approval means a lot to me,” explained Thomas. “I believe Clarette could be the one, and I’m hoping my Uncle Tom reassures me a bit more that I’m right.”

With the next one-on-one date to be decided by the farmer’s families, Corey and Jack’s ladies were on a mission to impress.

When asked about jealousy in the house by Corey’s mother, Karen, Chloe didn’t hold back, saying, “I think Keels, she’s quite a jealous person. She never wants to hear about the dates. It can be, yeah, really hard coming back into the house with that kind of energy.”

However, Chloe’s candour backfired when Corey’s mother chose Keeley for the one-on-one date.

“It’s been incredible. I’m just so stoked that I got picked for the twenty-four-hour date,” said Keeley of her win. “I got the mates and the family, so I just need Corey now!”

In Tasmania, farmer Jack’s mother, Rebecca, his father, David, and his two siblings came to meet Jack’s ladies.

After spending time with all the ladies, Jack’s father chose Olivia for the one-on-one date, a move that devastated Sarah.

“It is so much time and so much alone time that they get to spend together, so it is worrisome,” Sarah said, concerned about her standing with the farmer.

Monday night on Farmer Wants A Wife: It’s  the final 24-hour dates and after being chosen by the farmers’ parents, Jack takes Olivia to a secluded cabin in the woods via helicopter, while Corey takes Keeley on a romantic seaside getaway. But revelations around Olivia’s desire for children and Keeley’s timeline to move to the farm create unexpected rifts in their connections before the all-important farm farewell. Meanwhile, Farmer Thomas prepares to make his final decision.

Farmer Corey, 24, Biloela, QLD: Beans, Hay and Cotton

Farmer Thomas, 35, Kimba, SA: Wheat, Barley and Lentil

Farmer Jack, 26, Sheffield, TAS: Dairy

Farmer Wants A Wife continues 7.30pm Mondays and Tuesdays on Seven and 7plus
