Foxtel has today announced that BritBox will join its suite of integrated apps on iQ set top boxes along with a line-up of new dedicated channels.
The news of BritBox’s streaming app joining Foxtel’s platform comes as BBC in Australia decided to recently close their BBC First channel on Foxtel, migrating all of their premium dramas including Death in Paradise, Call The Midwife, and Silent Witness to their streaming service.

BritBox will be one of 18 apps available on Foxtel alongside Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, Paramount+, Apple TV+, Stan, ABC iView, SBS On Demand, 7plus, 9Now, 10 Play, ABC Kids, Optus Sport, F1® TV, Vevo and DocPlay.
Lol to pay for Vevo?! Are they for FREE on Samsung TV Plus?! 🤣👎
But not MTV 90’s and 00’s.
James Styles that on 10play now
Wonder if Britbox will migrate now to Hubbl.
The illusion of value! Remove content you pay for and replace it with access to the content you can pay even more for. As for the new channels, nothing but fast channel garbage – low or no cost to Foxtel channels filling up broadcasting scope once filled with quality content now gone.
Spot on.
Less channels on Foxtel, have to sign up and pay again for each app.
In fact all of these channels are free on Samsung TV.
I sincerely hope we are not going to be charged for these extras without our permission.
This surely must signal Foxtel is close to the end, replacing well known international channels with free FAST channels they’re sourcing off the internet like anyone with a. Samsung tv etc, on top of that they put their fees up, I can understand the rise in ‘pirate’ services
How would you compare Foxtel to Britbox? If you have technical issue does britbox provide you technical support?
