Join the hunt for the truth in “Hollywood Con Queen”, streaming from May 8.
Apple TV+ has released a trailer for its new documentary series “Hollywood Con Queen”, set to premiere on Wednesday, 8 May. The three-part series dives into one of Hollywood’s most elaborate scams, revealing a narrative that captivates and horrifies in equal measure.
The plot centres around a shadowy figure known as the ‘Con Queen’ who impersonates influential Hollywood women to deceive hopefuls into traveling to Indonesia under the pretense of career opportunities. The victims, lured by the prospect of a breakthrough, find themselves financially and emotionally drained, caught in a manipulative web that spans continents.
The case catches the attention of Scott Johnson, a seasoned reporter from The Hollywood Reporter, and Nicole Kotsianas, a resolute private investigator. Together, they uncover layers of the deception, leading them to revelations more bizarre than fiction.
The series is a creation of Chris Smith, an Emmy-winning director, and Library Films, known for their work on popular docuseries such as “Tiger King” and “Fyre”. Their latest work promises to blend deep investigative journalism with compelling storytelling.
