Experience Barbra Streisand’s musical tribute to love’s endurance in The Tattooist of Auschwitz, only on Stan.

Barbra Streisand has recorded a new song, “Love Will Survive,” for the upcoming Stan Original Series The Tattooist of Auschwitz. This marks her first contribution to a television series soundtrack, with the song set for global release by Columbia Records on April 25th.

The track, composed by Hans Zimmer in collaboration with Kara Talve and Walter Afanasieff, features lyrics by Charlie Midnight. Zimmer and Talve also crafted the original score for the series, enhancing its emotional depth.

The six-part drama stars Harvey Keitel, Melanie Lynskey, Jonah Hauer-King, Anna Próchniak, and Jonas Nay, portraying a poignant narrative set during the Holocaust. Streisand’s involvement extends beyond singing; she serves as an executive producer alongside Jay Landers and Russell Emanuel.

Streisand explained her motivation for participating in the project: “Because of the rise in antisemitism around the world today, I wanted to sing Love Will Survive in the context of this series, as a way of remembering the six-million souls who were lost less than 80 years ago. And also to say that even in the darkest of times, the power of love can triumph and endure.”

Accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by William Ross, the song was produced at Abbey Road Studios. Producers Afanasieff and Peter Asher were responsible for bringing this song to life, alongside the iconic vocals of Streisand.

Claire Mundell, executive producer for Synchronicity Films, expressed immense pride in collaborating with Streisand: “Recording the song with Barbra’s iconic vocals was an unforgettable moment and a memory I will treasure forever. We are thrilled to be able to honour the memory of Lali and Gita in this way, with this beautiful original piece of music.”

“The Tattooist of Auschwitz” follows the story of Lali, a Slovakian Jew and tattooist at Auschwitz, who finds love amidst the horrors of the camp. The narrative also explores his later life as he shares his experiences with writer Heather Morris, portrayed by Lynskey.

This compelling series is directed by Tali Shalom-Ezer and is a collaborative production involving Synchronicity Films, Sky Studios, and All3Media International, with international distribution handled by NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution and All3Media International.

The Tattooist of Auschwitz premieres May 2, only on Stan.
