Season 2 of HEARTBREAK HIGH debuts #1 in Australia and #7 globally on Netflix

The return of Netflix’s iconic Aussie TV series Heartbreak High Season 2, produced by Fremantle and NewBe has taken Hartley High to the global charts.

Since its release last Thursday, the limited series has gained 2.3M views and is currently #7 in the global Top 10 English TV Show list and #1 in Australia’s Top 10. 

The series, hailed as a “cultural phenomenon” (RUSSH) and “a worldwide sensation” (Pedestrian TV), has hit the Weekly Top 10 in 24 countries including #9 in the UK and #7 in France.

Fans are lavishing the new season with praise on socials, declaring it a “one of a kind series”, and sharing their passion with posts such as “I actually think I have an emotional attachment to this show” and “obsessed with this show even more since season 2”.

Heartbreak High Season 2 is the latest Australian series to feature in the Netflix Top 10, with Boy Swallows Universe peaking at #3 on the global Top 10 English TV list.

Other Australian productions recently featured in the Top 10 include hits Surviving Summer Seasons 1 & 2, Love is in the Air, Fisk, Run Rabbit Run, Wellmania, True Spirit, and The Stranger.
