Apple TV+ has confirmed the upcoming release of the highly anticipated documentary series, “Hollywood Con Queen”, which is slated for global premiere on Wednesday, 8 May. This enthralling three-part series is helmed by the acclaimed Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Chris Smith, renowned for works like “Tiger King”, “Fyre”, and “100 Foot Wave”.
“Hollywood Con Queen” delves into the alarming tale of an elusive scam artist known for impersonating some of Hollywood’s top female executives. This imposter, known as the ‘Con Queen’, has deceived countless individuals, coaxing them to Indonesia with the false promise of monumental career opportunities in the entertainment industry. Victims find themselves drained of their resources, caught in a twisted game of global proportions.
The origins of this bewildering scam are explored in depth, inspired by the investigative efforts of Scott Johnson, a seasoned journalist from The Hollywood Reporter. Johnson’s findings are also detailed in his book, “Hollywood Con Queen: The Hunt for an Evil Genius”, published by Harper Collins. Alongside Johnson, private investigator Nicole Kotsianas, formerly of K2 Integrity, joined the quest to unravel this bizarre story, discovering aspects more peculiar than anticipated.
