Melbourne Weekender is back! Join us at 5:30 PM on Channel 7 for new adventures in and around Melbourne.

The beloved lifestyle series Melbourne Weekender is back after a hiatus of five years, promising to unveil the lesser-known delights of Melbourne and Victoria.

The revived show features a dynamic team of Victoria’s celebrated personalities, including the esteemed Nicky Buckley making her television comeback. Culinary maestro Gary Mehigan will guide audiences through Melbourne’s top dining experiences, while Bonnie Anderson—singer, TV personality, and new mother—explores some of the state’s hidden treasures.

Adding to the show’s charm are sports personalities like former cricketer Brad Hodge, who brings a touch of humor to the series. Jane Bunn and Sonia Marinelli, known for their roles at 7NEWS, along with 7AFL analyst Abbey Holmes, will explore picturesque locales and family-friendly adventures throughout the state.

The first episode offers a mix of culinary journeys, road trips, and local culture. Bonnie Anderson visits Co.Bake Space, an innovative bakery and pop-up hub, while Sonia Marinelli provides travel inspiration with a trip to NRMA Phillip Island Beachfront Holiday Park. Meanwhile, Gary Mehigan indulges in Vietnamese cuisine in Springvale, a vibrant community hub.

Each installment will also include a ‘My Melbourne Weekender’ segment, where a local celebrity shares their favorite spots in the city. In the premiere, Nicky Buckley joins forces with fashion mogul Nadia Bartel for a stylish exploration of Melbourne’s best weekend haunts.

“I’m excited to be showcasing our beautiful eclectic Melbourne and Victoria and all that it has to offer. I’ve found some real gems myself while shooting the series that I never knew existed,”

said Nicky Buckley.

“I can’t wait to share with you what I’ve been up to on Melbourne Weekender. It feels like I’m experiencing a new adventure every weekend as I get to peek behind the scenes of some of Melbourne’s best things to do,”

added Jane Bunn.

“I feel proud to be a part of Melbourne Weekender and show off the beautiful city of Melbourne. Meeting new people and having new experiences in this city is always fun and having the opportunity to interview and learn about these places on a deeper level is the best part about being part of the show,”

reflected Bonnie Anderson.

Melbourne Weekender premieres 16 April, 2023 at 5:30 PM airing on Channel 7 in Victoria and nationally on 7plus.
