Join Shaynna Blaze and Jason Hawkins on Postcards for a journey from Parisian art to Melbourne’s rooftop bars.
This Sunday at 5.30pm, Channel 9 and 9Now are set to enchant viewers with a new episode of Postcards, featuring Shaynna Blaze from The Block and Jason Hawkins, the Nova 100 breakfast radio presenter, as this week’s special guest hosts.
Blaze will be transporting audiences from Bendigo (Dja Dja Wurrung Country) to the streets of Paris with her visit to the Bendigo Art Gallery. There, she explores the exclusive Paris: Impressions of Life 1880-1925 exhibition, a captivating collection of artefacts and artworks that promise a mesmerising Parisian adventure. Her journey continues at the Old Green Bean, where she indulges in the café’s signature in-house roasted coffee and delights.
Meanwhile, Lauren Phillips teams up with Hawkins for a lively exploration of their work neighbourhood in South Melbourne (Boonwurrung & Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). Their adventure includes a brunch stop at Dead Man Espresso, an exhilarating axe throwing experience at Lumber Punks, and concludes with a beer and chat at South Melbourne’s newest rooftop bar, Brewmanity, with co-founder and former Melbourne Football Club captain, David Neitz.
Adding to the episode’s allure, Livinia Nixon takes viewers behind the scenes of Chicago the Musical at Her Majesty’s Theatre in the CBD (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). She meets cast members Zoë Ventoura and Peter Rowsthorn, who share insights into their roles as Velma Kelly and Amos, respectively.
Nixon’s journey through the Collins Street Precinct includes stops at The George on Collins and Bar Margaux, both offering Chicago-themed cocktails, and concludes with a look at The Sofitel Melbourne’s special Chicago package.
The episode also features Madeline Spark’s exploration of Hampton Street, Bayside (Boonwurrung Country). From the delicious handmade pasta at The Italian Chef to the ultimate pet pampering at B & T Pets with owner Katie Zac, Spark’s journey showcases the local charm and culinary delights of the area.
