Are we supposed to be happy with 600-700 national average as “good”?

*** NOTE: NEW METRICS AND REPORTS ***

  • Total TV Overnight Top 30 and Consolidated 7 Top 30 National Total TV reach is calculated using cumulative unique audiences watching 1 min of broadcast TV and 15 sec of BVOD.
  • Total TV National audience is calculated using the audience average for the program as time-coded by the Network across 5CM and all regional markets nationally watching on broadcast TV and BVOD.
  • BVOD national audience is calculated using the total number of minutes watched (including co-viewing) divided by the length of the program.

PRIMETIME ANALYSIS

The 1% Club UK (685,000 avg) on Seven lands in first, only just ahead of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Australia (673,000 avg) (lw 687k) on Channel 10. Poor old Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars Australia (411,000 avg) (lw 431k) on Nine has its fate sealed as it looks to its final episodes next week.

Over on SBS, Alone Australia (270,000 avg) (lw 248k) builds as the season gets even more interesting (and continues to grow with a sizeable BVOD audience catching up on the series).

The commercial offerings at 7pm do not change order, but all slide a little through the week:
A Current Affair (945,000 avg) on Nine
Home and Away (833,000 avg) on Seven
The Project (358,000 avg) (6:30pm-7:30pm) on 10.

The ABC offers its light entertainment/comedy shows after a slightly down week-on-week 7:30 (671,000 avg) (lw 781k), with Hard Quiz (679,000 avg) (lw 721k) down a similar amount as The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (617,000 avg) (lw 620k) stays pretty consistent. The premiere of White Fever (282,000 avg) drew an audience standard with the slot.

In the later primetime slot, The Front Bar (466,000 avg) (lw 591k) on Seven takes the clear win over Australian Crime Stories: The Investigators (281,000 avg) (lw 303k) on Nine and FBI: International (252,000 avg).
