Heartbreak High returns with a new term full of surprises. Watch Season 2’s global debut on Netflix.
The ensemble of the Netflix series Heartbreak High have gathered for a private screening of its second season at Palace Cinemas Moore Park in Sydney, celebrating the show’s release on Netflix globally today.
Among the attendees were the fictional Hartley High’s students and educators, including Ayesha Madon, James Majoos, Chloe Hayden, Asher Yasbineck, Thomas Weatherall, Will McDonald, Gemma Chua-Tran, Bryn Chapman-Parish, Sherry-Lee Watson, Chika Ikogwe, and Kartanya Maynard.
The event also saw appearances from Hannah Caroll Chapman, the visionary behind the series, alongside Sarah Freeman, Neil Sharma, Adam Murfet & Jessie Oldfield, and Carly Heaton among the executive and associate production team. Adding to the prestige, Netflix Director of Content ANZ Que Minh Luu, Screen Australia CEO Deidre Brennan, and Screen NSW’s Kyas Hepworth were present.
The evening was a celebration of the series’ blend of humor, eccentricity, and emotional depth, with anticipations running high for the new season’s promised escalation in drama and complexity.
The second season welcomes back its beloved characters to Hartley High, a school humorously noted for its low rank. The term introduces new students, a sports teacher, and unforeseen challenges that disrupt the hoped-for tranquility. With the addition of underhanded tactics in the race for school captain, the term is expected to surpass its predecessor in turmoil.
