The Stan Original Series Black Snow is back for Season 2 with Travis Fimmel leading an ensemble cast through gripping new mysteries.

Fimmel is set to return as Detective Cormack, with McKinnon and several new faces joining the cast, including Megan Smart (Class of ‘07), Alana Mansour (Erotic Stories), Dan Spielman (Stan Original Series Bad Behaviour, The Newsreader), Victoria Haralabidou (Stan Original Series The Tourist), and Kat Stewart (Offspring).

The upcoming season will see Detective Cormack embroiled in two mysterious missing persons cases: one involves the investigation into the vanishing of Zoe Jacobs (McKinnon), who disappeared during her 21st birthday party in 2003, and the other is a personal quest to find his own brother, who went missing in their childhood.

Stan’s Chief Content Officer, Cailah Scobie, expressed excitement about the new season, stating,

“Following the enormous success of the first season of Black Snow we are thrilled to be working with the team at Goalpost Pictures and the incredible cast, led by Travis, on another gripping season. We thank our partners at Screen NSW, Screen Queensland, the City of Gold Coast and All3Media and look forward to sharing the new season with audiences soon.”

Travis Fimmel commented on the strength of Australian film and TV, highlighting the global recognition it has received, partly thanks to streaming platforms. He jokingly added his pleasure at having “free food and a job.”

The audience response in Australia and around the world to series one was incredible and we can’t wait to bring this new story with this wonderful group of actors to the screen – including Travis Fimmel who is once again utterly compelling in the role of Cormack.”

Screen Queensland’s CEO, Jacqui Feeney, and Head of Screen NSW, Kyas Hepworth, both voiced their support for the production, emphasizing its contribution to the Australian drama scene and its role in showcasing Queensland’s unique setting and offering career opportunities to local talent.
