Paramount+ Australia and CBS have now formally renewed NCIS: Sydney for a second season, the first international version of the long running NCIS franchise.
The series debuted in November 2023 to strong audiences both here in Australia where it was officially the most-watched local series since the launch of Paramount+ in Australia, and overseas where it was a late minute addition to CBS’ schedule following the writers strike.
The local version joins other franchises in the series which includes the original iteration ‘NCIS’ and the newer ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’, along with ‘NCIS: New Orleans’ and ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ which are both no longer in production.
Having only just found their feet, in season two, the agents of NCIS: Sydney square off against a much more powerful adversary, threatening the very stability of the region… and the team itself.

The series is created by Morgan O’Neill, who serves as executive producer alongside Endemol Shine Australia’s Sara Richardson and Michele Bennett.
