Tune in to Better Homes & Gardens this Friday to explore the wonders of Vietnam from Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh City. Don’t miss it!
This week on Better Homes & Gardens, airing Friday, February 16, at 7pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus, the adventure unfolds as Adam and Melissa embark on the second leg of their captivating Asian cruise, taking viewers through the vibrant locales of Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
Their journey is not just about the destinations but also about the myriad experiences aboard the Norwegian Jewel, where the couple indulges in everything from culinary delights to theatrical performances.
In Nha Trang, Adam and Melissa delve into the heart of Vietnamese rural life. They traverse through lush rice paddies, engage with local villagers, and encounter skilled artisans, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of the region. Their exploration extends to the bustling energy of Ho Chi Minh City, where amidst a sea of motorbikes, they immerse themselves in the dynamic street food scene, navigate through lively markets, and whisk past the historical landmarks of old Saigon. Their journey aboard the Norwegian Jewel further enriches their experience, as they navigate its extensive amenities, including bars, restaurants, sports facilities, and a grand theatre.
Meanwhile, Johanna and Pete introduce viewers to an astonishing inner-city residence, where traditional Victorian architecture meets modern design innovation. Despite the constraints of high-density living, the homeowners have masterfully created a unique “falling gardens” concept, ensuring each level enjoys its own outdoor space. The transformation from a dilapidated structure to a modern marvel that harmoniously blends the past with the present, and engages with the landscape, is nothing short of remarkable.
Colin takes on the quintessential Australian pub fare by elevating the humble chicken schnitzel and coleslaw to new heights. His culinary expertise shines through as he incorporates unconventional ingredients into the breadcrumb mix and introduces an array of vibrant vegetables to the slaw, promising a dish that surpasses all expectations.
Graham visits Pamela’s garden in Uralla, a testament to her lifelong passion for gardening. Inspired by her global travels, Pamela’s garden is a harmonious blend of formal topiary and whimsical florals, creating a visually stunning and joy-filled space.
Charlie tackles a gardening challenge with a twist, transforming a non-traditional backyard into a sun-soaked oasis reminiscent of Mexico. By selecting heat-tolerant plants such as cacti and agave, and injecting vibrant colours, Charlie crafts a unique and inviting outdoor area.
Juliet focuses on rejuvenating the home with an eco-elegant flair. She demonstrates how to breathe new life into tired spaces using natural materials, neutral colours, and soft tones, proving that a stylish refresh can be both budget-friendly and environmentally conscious.
Finally, Dr Harry faces a unique challenge with Indy the Cocker Spaniel, who loves the water but struggles with swimming back when called. Dr Harry’s mission is to ensure Indy’s safety and enjoyment of the beach, a task that requires patience, training, and a bit of ingenuity.
BHG is my favourite show on TV and I never miss a night of this show. Also working at Bunnings I continually talk to customers and sell the mags being an avid watcher.
Tonight I saw Adam & Melissa in Vietnam and on the NCL cruise line where Adam mentioned you can enter the competition with the code word. However I can’t find where to enter this competition and have looked everywhere.
Please help as I am very keen and would love to win this cruise.
Thank you
Gaye Marchese
