The much-anticipated 100th episode marks a significant moment for the series, with Commissioner Selwyn Patterson celebrating half a century in the police force. However, the celebration takes a dark turn when he is critically wounded by an unidentified shooter, leaving his fate uncertain and the island in shock.

The episode is not just monumental for its plot twist but also welcomes back Sean Maguire, who appeared in the show’s debut episode in 2011. This milestone episode also features renowned actors like Leon Herbert, Cathy Tyson, and Mensah Bediako.

Throughout the new season, viewers can expect a variety of complex cases and personal dilemmas. Marlon grapples with life choices, Naomi and Darlene explore the dating scene, and Catherine finds herself in the midst of a murder investigation. As for Neville, he faces a significant personal decision that could change his life.

In true Death in Paradise fashion, the series will feature a line-up of acclaimed guest stars, including Hayley Mills, Ellie Haddington, Kate Robbins, and many others, adding to the allure of each episode. The show continues to deliver its unique mix of suspenseful storytelling and stunning Caribbean scenery, maintaining its status as a viewer favorite.

Death in Paradise enjoys a global appeal, being broadcast in over 230 territories. Its success has led to the announcement of an Australian spin-off, Return to Paradise, slated for release in 2024 on ABC in Australia and the BBC in the UK. This new series promises to merge the essence of the original with a distinct Australian flavor.

Catch the premiere of Death in Paradise – Series 13 on BBC First, with episodes airing every Monday at 11:00 am and repeat telecasts at 9:30 pm, starting 5th February.

The series will also be available for streaming on Binge and On Demand.
