Trailer Drop: ‘FEUD: CAPOTE VS. THE SWANS’ Season 2
The highly anticipated second season of Ryan Murphy’s celebrated series, Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans, is set to captivate audiences with its recent trailer release.
The eight-part saga, which will debut with two episodes on 1 February on BINGE and FOXTEL, promises weekly instalments thereafter.
Adapted from Laurence Leamer’s acclaimed book, ‘Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era’, this season features a star-studded cast. Notables include Tom Hollander, Naomi Watts, Diane Lane, Chloë Sevigny, Calista Flockhart, Demi Moore, Molly Ringwald, Treat Williams, Joe Mantello, and Russell Tovey.
The narrative revolves around the iconic writer Truman Capote, portrayed by Hollander. Capote was renowned for his close connections with New York’s high society women, affectionately termed “the swans”. These illustrious figures, such as Barbara “Babe” Paley (Watts), Slim Keith (Lane), C.Z. Guest (Sevigny), and Lee Radziwill (Flockhart), represented the zenith of glamour and sophistication.
Capote’s eventual betrayal of these women, through his thinly disguised work ‘Answered Prayers’, precipitated a catastrophic fallout, marking the end of his illustrious status and leading to his personal decline.
The series is penned for television by Jon Robin Baitz and directed by Gus Van Sant, Max Winkler, and Jennifer Lynch. Joining Murphy in the executive production team are Alexis Martin Woodall, Baitz, Van Sant, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Naomi Watts, Eric Kovtun, and Scott Robertson. Production is overseen by 20th Television.
