Australia’s leading platform for original productions, Stan, has elevated the anticipation for its homegrown series with the launch of the trailer and first-look images for the upcoming fourth season of the original series Bump.

This new season marks a notable time leap of two years. The narrative now focuses on Oly, portrayed by Nathalie Morris, as she navigates her role as the family’s primary earner. Meanwhile, Santi, played by Carlos Sanson Jr, grapples with his new life as a stay-at-home dad.

Their family dynamics, interspersed with the interference of their extended family, promise to bring both challenges and growth.

The storyline sees Oly and Santi reuniting, finding stability with their spirited seven-year-old daughter, Jacinda, played by Ava Cannon. Meanwhile, Angie, enacted by Claudia Karvan, shifts her focus to environmental activism, setting up camp in a protest site to distract from her recent heartbreak.

Angus Sampson’s character, Dom, is seen enjoying a reminiscent phase of his share-house days with his best friend Tim. The couple, Reema (Safia Arain) and Vince (Ioane Sa’ula), are portrayed at a crossroads, questioning the longevity of their relationship. In a quest for self-discovery, Bowie, played by Christian Byers, is depicted struggling with his Saturn return and life’s direction.

Amidst this backdrop, the show’s characters strive to find happiness amidst the chaos of life’s unexpected twists and turns.

Returning to the series are the Chalmers-Davis family, including the award-winning actress Claudia Karvan and Christian Byers, along with fan favorites Ioane Sa’ula, Safia Arain, Paula Garcia, Ava Cannon, and Claudia De Giusti.

Season four introduces a dynamic new cast, including the award-winning comedian Steph Tisdell and Dylan Alcott AO, the celebrated Australian tennis player and 2022 Australian of the Year.

The production of the Stan Original Series Bump is a collaboration between Roadshow Rough Diamond and its founders Dan Edwards and John Edwards, alongside Claudia Karvan and Kelsey Munro. The series is co-created by Munro and Karvan, with a writing team that includes Nick Coyle, Jorrden Daley, Timothy Lee, and newcomers Chika Ikogwe and Shanti Gudgeon.
