  1. I’m surprised Blackbox hasn’t mentioned the Breekie battle .
Today is constantly beating Sunrise after all these years .
I’m not sure what’s happening over at 7 but they are in an awful mess .
Losing heaps of sporting events to 9.
Getting shot down in nightly ratings .
    Now trouncing sunrise .
Wonder what The big boss over in WA is thinking?

    • Michael Butters Today isn’t constantly beating Sunrise. In 5CM numbers it did beat Sunrise three days this last week, however that’s it. They’ve beaten Sunrise maybe 3 other times this year. There’s a long way to go…

    • TV Blackbox I agree it’s a long way to go but for today to turn around and start beating Sunrise must be a concern for 7.
Especially since sunrise had big big leads in the thousands .what has gone wrong so suddenly?

    • TV Blackbox with all due respect Blackbox but nowhere in my original post did I mention” thousands ”
I said trouncing , three consecutive mornings after being beaten by huge numbers for years ( admitly
9 did win the odd morning.
As I pointed out 7, getting trumped by 9 in major sporting events especially 0lympics and Aussie open is catastrophic.
All they have now is AFL(AFLW that no one is watching)
Cricket only the tests in Australia, no white ball series .
Supercars ( that’s a joke only 6 rounds , I doubt if 7 can justify paying over $200 MILLON (reportedly)
      Again once .
Look at next season free to air get the opening round then have to wait a staggering 4 months for their second .
No wonder fans only look forward to Bathurst.
Ex Supercars CEO Cochrane has said publicly many times Supercars must get back on to free to air full-time and the can now 7 have extras channels .
They will have the ear chest full by savings on the sports they failed to get fans will return knowing the have all 25 , rounds .
I would appreciate you thoughs are on this .
Oh I forgot 7,have Big Bash
Men and ladies again it’s no one watches Ladies (what they do show )
      Cher’s Michael

    • Michael Butters Breakfast TV is a marathon. It takes ages to change audience habits, and that’s everything that is brekky TV. Three daily wins are a start – Nine need to turn that into three consecutive weeks and then more to make a dint.

All the sporting stuff you mention is fine – Seven’s News product is what is keeping the up but that’s evenings/primetime. Breakfast is a whole other beast.
