In an unprecedented narrative move for the long-standing drama, Flashback Week will elucidate on the events that transpired during a crucial two-year storyline hiatus, bringing to light previously undisclosed plots. Viewers can anticipate a blend of stirring revelations and heartfelt moments as familiar faces make their return to the much-loved Ramsay Street.

Takaya Honda is poised to reprise his role as David Tanaka, and Matt Wilson will again step into the shoes of Aaron Brennan. Their storylines are touted to be at the forefront of the flashbacks, ensuring a riveting exploration of their character arcs. Their enthusiasm for the project is palpable, with Honda expressing his eagerness for the unfolding narrative.

“I’m very excited to return to the set of Neighbours and continue the journey of David and Aaron. There’s an abundance of exciting storylines ahead, and I’m positive that the audience will be enamoured by Hana Abe Tucker’s adorable portrayal of Isla and Hannah Monson’s fresh and compelling take on Nicolette,”

Honda remarked with anticipation.

Wilson’s return also heralds his off-screen transition back to on-air drama.

“We’re back baby! I’m absolutely thrilled to be back on Ramsay Street. After taking the role of stay-at-home dad for a year, I’m looking forward to having adult conversations.

The show has changed so much in all the best ways. Hannah Monson is a blast to work with, creating her very own version of Nicolette that I can’t wait for everyone to see. And our little Isla is now played by Hana Abe-Tucker who is the biggest character on set by a country mile,”

Wilson said, reflecting the infectious excitement surrounding the show’s new chapter.

The line-up for Flashback Week boasts a notable ensemble of Neighbours alumni, including April Rose Pengilly (Chloe Brennan), Jodi Gordon (Elly Conway), Bonnie Anderson (Bea Nilsson), Jacinta Stapleton (Amy Greenwood), Olivia Junker (Yashvi Rebecchi), Benji McNair (Mal Kennedy), Ian Rawlings (Phil Martin), Morgan Baker (Callum Rebecchi), and Ariel Kaplan (Imogen Willis), ensuring a robust treat for devotees of the show.

  1. Kevin – How do you solve a problem like Neighbours? I’m interested in your view as to why the ratings for Neighbours since it’s return have been poor. Do the catch up numbers in Australia make up for the poor first showing on TV? The show is brilliantly made, well acted and seems to be doing well on Freevee but why not Australia? Another time slot? More promotion? Or does it really matter to the shows future as long as it does well on Freevee?
