Seven’s primetime offerings also strong considering the competition; 10 almost vanishes.

Channel 9

The season nineteen finale of The Block (1,433,000 avg (1,274,000 finale; 1,592,000 winner)) was always going to be difficult to beat after a drama-filled season, and the drama-filled preamble and auctions didn’t disappoint (though it was down 8%/6% respectively on last year’s finale). It also offered a ratings halo to 60 Minutes (758,000), lifting it by nearly double on last week’s instalment. A repeat of Under Investigation (162,000) and Text Me When You Get Home (89,000) keep fragments of the audience through the late night.

Nine first in both primary (37.8%) and network (47.5%) rankings.

Channel 7

The 1% Club Australia (526,000) came in hot early in the night for Seven, as did another new ep of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line (326,000). Dodging the final of The Block, a repeat of Homicide: With Ron Iddles: The Good Cop (245,000) held some audience in the slot and proved to be a smart move, before giving over to new Air Crash Investigations (141,000) and Evil By Design (68,000).

Seven second in both primary (16.7%) and network (22.3%) rankings.

ABC

Another varied Sunday for the ABC, with most of their shows down slightly. Joanna Lumley’s Spice Trail Adventure (389,000) led the charge, followed by Annika (377,000) and another new episode of Shetland (275,000). Repeats of Total Control (45,000) and Troppo (DNR) completed their offering.

ABC third in both primary (10.9%) and network (14.5%) rankings.

Channel 10

The Sunday Project (166,000 6:30pm; 187,000 7pm) found it difficult to find its audience for 10, largely because of the competition and The Graham Norton Show (147,000) failing so greatly (rating lower than its lead-in! Just as well it moves to Friday nights now). New FBI (82,000) and repeats of NCIS: Hawaii (68,000) and NCIS (51,000) maintained CBS-drama fandom for some.

10 fourth in both primary (5.1%) and network (9.4%) rankings.

SBS

SBS get all historical again for a Sunday, that started with Treasures with Bettany Hughes (72,000), that then bent into Kennedy, Sinatra, and the Mafia (96,000) and a repeat of Alhambra: Secrets of the Ancient Builders (62,000).

SBS fifth in both primary (3.6%) and network (6.3%) rankings.
