Those reports have now been updated, saying the 54 year old actor had collapsed shortly after a two-hour game of picklebal. It’s now believed he died of a cardiac arrest.

According to the publication no drugs were found at the scene.

Law enforcement sources tell us the actor was found Saturday at an L.A.-area home … where we’re told he appears to have drowned. Our sources say first-responders rushed over on a call for cardiac arrest. It’s unclear where exactly on the grounds this happened.

Perry became a fan favourite playing Chandler Bing on the ’90s sitcom Friends, which ran for 10 seasons. During that time he struggled with drug addiction which led to fluctuations in his weight and fans became concerned.

In 2021 Perry made headlines after appearing in the reunion episode over his slurred speech. Friends at the time claimed he had undergone an emergency dental procedure that day, leaving him in pain.

Perry also starred in a string of other shows and films, including: as ‘Boys Will Be Boys,’ ‘Growing Pains,’ ‘Silver Spoons,’ ‘Charles in Charge,’ ‘Sydney,’ ‘Beverly Hills, 90210,’ ‘Home Free,’ ‘Ally McBeal,’ ‘The West Wing,’ ‘Scrubs,’ ‘Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,’ ‘Go On,’ ‘The Odd Couple’ and more.
