A double repeat of HIGHWAY PATROL does nobody any favours.

Channel 9

A Current Affair (543,000) and The Block (595,000) go hard for Nine and win their slots, while the cricket runs out simultaneously on ICC Cricket World Cup: Australia v South Africa (152,000 9GEM S1). It then kicked off proper on the main channel – ICC Cricket World Cup: Australia v South Africa (226,000 Nine S1; 159,000 Innings Break; 76,000 S2).

Nine first in both primary (22.4%) and network (32.4%) rankings.

Channel 7

Seven offer a consistent schedule, starting with Home & Away (416,000) and a double repeat of Highway Patrol (284,000; 272,000), though the latter is pushed deep into fourth in the slot. Repeats of MOVIE: Hidden Figures (195,000) and Ambulance: Code Red (46,000) fleshed out the rest of the schedule.

Seven second in both primary (17.6%) and network (25%) rankings.

Channel 10

The Project (176,000 6:30pm; 269,000 7pm) fared better than usual for 10, largely for the consistency of The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition (347,000). Gogglebox Australia (398,000) also reliable though softer, followed by repeats of The Cheap Seats (176,000) and Law & Order: SVU (52,000) in the late night.

10 third in both primary (12.4%) and network (18%) rankings.

ABC

The 7:30 (360,000)/Foreign Correspondent (329,000) double came in a strong fourth in primetime for the ABC, before the night was given over to repeats of Grand Designs (236,000), Griff’s Great Australian Rail Trip (185,000), You Can’t Ask That (94,000), and Old People’s Home for Teenagers (29,000).

ABC fourth in both primary (11.2%) and network (16.4%) rankings.

SBS fifth in both primary (4.2%) and network (8.2%) rankings.
