Karla Grant, the renowned host of Living Black, is teaming up for a notable episode of Insight this week.
The focus of this collaborative episode with NITV? The impending Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum, aptly titled ‘Your Voice. Your Vote.’
The special episode promises a deep dive into the discussions that Australians are having around the referendum. Instead of highlighting political viewpoints, this segment zeroes in on the grassroots. It explores the conversations happening in the daily lives of Australians: at dinner tables, during coffee breaks, and across neighbourhood fences.
What’s being whispered, debated, or asserted about the Voice? How are proponents and opponents of the referendum voicing their thoughts and trying to sway others?
This Insight–NITV collaboration hopes to shed light on these very dialogues, looking at the potential shifts in public sentiment.
I watched Insight last night and I have to tell you that it restored my faith in human nature!
Congratulations on a totally thoughtful, unbiased programme. I thought we had reached the unhappy stage of never being able to engage in polite discourse or being able to disagree courteously anymore in this country. How refreshing.
I am a ‘no’ voter – a thoughtful one, I like to believe – and I watched this programme with great trepidation. But I was rewarded with television of a quality that I thought no longer existed in ABC or SBS.
Well done!
