BATHURST 1000 ruled the day; and 7News SPOTLIGHT delivers a follow-on win with its special on the upcoming referendum.

Channel 7

The season twelve grand final of The Voice Australia (762,000 avg (740,000 finale; 783,000 winner)) drew a winning audience for Seven, followed by the referendum special on 7News Spotlight (396,000) which managed the same. Born to Kill? (291,000) and Autopsy USA (102,000) ran out the Network’s winning night. The audience across the 6-plus hours of the Bathurst 1000 (602,000) proved it is still a hit.

Seven first in both primary (28.9%) and network (36.4%) rankings.

Nine went all in with ICC Cricket World Cup: India v Australia (204,000 pre-match; 281,000 S1; 250,000 innings break; 105,000 S2) delivering a consistent audience that wasn’t overly competitive.

Nine second in both primary (20.5%) and network (28.7%) rankings.

ABC

A repeat of Death in Paradise (356,000) slid neatly into the penultimate episode of season two of The Newsreader (280,000) on the ABC – again doing solid business in Total TV with small numbers on linear first-run. Repeats of Mother and Son (107,000), Annika (50,000), and Total Control (DNR) filled out the schedule.

ABC third in both primary (10.3%) and network (15.1%) rankings.

Channel 10

The Sunday Project (172,000 6:30pm; 257,000 7pm) and The Graham Norton Show (184,000) pushed hard for 10 though struggled to gain much traction with primetime audiences. A new ep of FBI (113,000) kicked on a little before repeats of NCIS: Hawaii (75,000) and Heat (36,000) closed the late night.

10 fourth in both primary (6.3%) and network (11.9%) rankings.
