The TV industry is buzzing about who will host the new version of the classic game show.
An interesting rumour is doing the rounds at the moment that Channel 10 is looking to bring back a much-loved member of The Project to host its revival of a classic game show.
As TV Blackbox revealed in August, Network 10 is bringing Deal or No Deal back, set to air in the 6pm timeslot.
That exclusive was followed up a few weeks later with a casting call. The T&Cs confirmed the iconic show, previously hosted by Andrew O’Keefe, would indeed be returning to 10.
While 10 has been holding its cards very close to its chest on details about the revised version, rumours suggest a previous member of The Project is up for the gig.
The most obvious choice would be Carrie Bickmore or Peter Helliar.
There’s no doubt both are loved by Network 10 bosses, but Bickmore’s departure was seen as a blow to the network which had built her up to become a network star.
10 has always been keen to work with her again and a game show recorded a few days a month would leave Bickmore with plenty of time to fulfill her radio commitments.
The network is set to reveal all at its ‘intimate’ upfronts on October 24.
Geez i hope not.
