Patty Mills and Joe Ingles will co-captain the Boomers, in what is arguably Australia’s strongest ever squad containing a host of NBA and NBL stars.

Australia finished fourth at the 2019 FIBA World Cup, falling to eventual winners Spain in a dramatic overtime defeat in the Semi Final. The Boomers hope to take a step further this campaign and create history.

Finland present the first test, with games against Germany (6.30pm AEST, Sunday) and Japan (9pm AEST, Tuesday) to follow in their FIBA World Cup Pool.

In a major win for Australian sporting fans, selected games from the tournament will be made available on Kayo Freebies.

Every Boomers game, every Team USA game and all Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, Third Place Game and the FIBA World Cup Final will be made available LIVE and FREE on ESPN via Kayo Freebies – which does not require a subscription. Kayo Freebies can be accessed by downloading the Kayo Sports app. Kayo Freebies is free to access, with no credit card details required.

ESPN’s broadcast team for the tournament will feature host Neroli Meadows, Andrew Gaze, Trevor Gleeson, John Casey, Bec Allen, Kane Pitman and Olgun Uluc.
