Amidst this, GOGGLEBOX AUSTRALIA landed as the highest entertainment/non-News program of the night.
Channel 9
A Current Affair (583,000) reliably led Nine’s night, before another split night allowed the respective show to combine their powers for a primetime win, starting with the first option of:
Thursday Night NRL Live (260,000 BNE/SYD)
and Thursday Night Knock Off (86,000 BNE/SYD);
or
The Block (260,000 MEL/ADL/SYD),
a repeat of Emergency (136,000 MEL/ADL/SYD),
and Casualty 24/7 (71,000 MEL/ADL/SYD).
It all came back together with an end-of-night episode of A+E After Dark (72,000).
Nine first in both primary (20.4%) and network (28.2%) rankings.
Channel 7
Recovering from the previous evening was always going to be hard, however a consistent Home & Away (434,000 7pm; 394,000 7:30-8:30pm Late) offered Seven a high point after their slot-winning News product. Few people cared about What The Killer Did Next (184,000) yet so many more enjoyed The Front Bar (302,000 (171,000 MEL)), especially in the southern capital. A repeat of Air Crash Investigations (64,000) closed out the evening.
Seven second in both primary (19.8%) and network (27.1%) rankings.
Channel 10
10 finding a little more of its groove again, though not with The Project (186,000 6:30pm; 258,000 7pm)which slipped to its lowest for the week again. Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly Australia (329,000) ticked up a little in no small part because it acted as lead-in for the season 18 return of Gogglebox Australia (442,000)…which offered some solid ratings in return and was the highest rating entertainment program of the night! Repeats of The Cheap Seats (167,000) and NCIS (56,000) do little in the late night.
10 third in both primary (12.3%) and network (19.5%) rankings.
ABC
7:30 (404,000) and Foreign Correspondent (263,000) opened the ABC’s night as their best hour. Extraordinary Escapes (176,000) and a repeat of Grand Designs New Zealand (169,000) saw audiences vanish slightly, with even more departing through repeats of Art Works (79,000) and The Soundtrack of Australia (DNR).
ABC fourth in both primary (10%) and network (15.8%) rankings.
SBS
Great Australian Walks with Julia Zemiro (196,000) found a little bit of love on SBS. Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy (152,000) maintained its audience, followed by a smaller audience for the linear broadcast of Kin (43,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (4.9%) and network (9.4%) rankings.
