THE VOICE Blind Auditions See New Talent Emerge on Channel 7
The latest blind auditions of THE VOICE on Channel 7 and 7plus featured a series of noteworthy performances that left coaches Jason Derulo, Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian, and Jessica Mauboy impressed.
Giann Jordan, a 17-year-old from Queensland, delivered a commendable rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colours”. Notably, it was only the Indigenous teenager’s second public performance, which led to three coaches turning their chairs. Despite her initial self-doubt, Rita Ora stepped in to provide reassurance post-performance. Giann subsequently joined Jessica Mauboy’s team after she blocked Guy Sebastian.
Tee Toleafoa and Raye Alapati, cousins aged 33, showcased their longstanding harmony with En Vogue’s “Don’t Let Go (Love)”, resulting in all four chairs turning. They chose to align with Team Jason, with Derulo expressing his high expectations for the duo.
Jade Taunton, 23, from Western Australia, shared her personal journey as a carer through her performance of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide”. All coaches turned their chairs, with Taunton choosing Team Jessica following the performance.
Cruize Karaitiana, also from Queensland, sang “Carry On” by Kygo featuring Rita Ora. Both Ora and Mauboy turned, but Karaitiana opted for Team Rita. Jaxson Cornell, 23, from Victoria, earned his spot on Team Guy after a solo chair turn for his rendition of Post Malone’s “I Fall Apart”.
