Seven struggle again to launch a new format – even though it’s a very gentle ob-doc.
Channel 9
A Current Affair (629,000) gave Nine another strong start, followed by a repeat of Travel Guides (508,000) which does surprisingly well – first in primetime. The late night was less successful, filled with Wimbledon 2023: Day 3 (169,000).
Nine first in primary (19.2%) and second in network (27%) rankings.
Channel 7
Seven get some love for Home & Away (422,000), though very little for the premiere of Animals Abroad with Dr Harry (268,000). Accused (175,000) brought home a small audience, as does The Front Bar (298,000) everywhere except MEL (188,000). A repeat of Crime Investigation Australia: Most Infamous (70,000) closes out the night.
Seven second in primary (18.3%) and first in network (27.1%) rankings.
ABC
Another solid night for the ABC, starting with the 7:30 (458,000)/Utopia (521,000) double that delivered a hard second place in primetime, that then rolled neatly into Gruen (484,000) and the premiere of Gold Diggers (260,000). Queen of Oz (156,000) and Adam Hills: The Last Leg (102,000) keep a few of those viewers into the later night, with everything rounding out with a repeat of The School That Tried To End Racism (DNR). Utopia also does massive business in the 7-day Total TV figures.
ABC third in both primary (13.6%) and network (18.8%) rankings.
Channel 10
The Project (171,000 6:30pm; 265,000 7pm) and MasterChef Australia (401,000) bubble along nicely for 10 though it slides into third in primetime and delivered its lowest numbers so far this week. Riptide (169,000) rolled its second episode out to a diminishing audience, before So Help Me Todd (90,000) and a repeat of FBI (55,000) closed out the schedule.
10 fourth in both primary (9.5%) and network (16.7%) rankings.
SBS
The penultimate episode of History of the Sitcom (103,000) led SBS’s night, followed by Rainbow Warrior: Murder in the Pacific (84,000) before turning to Tour de France: Stage 5 (131,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (6.1%) and network (10.4%) rankings.
